Woman Honor Thyself

When women are depressed, they either eat or go shopping. Men invade another country. It's a whole different way of thinking. --Elaine Boosler

Let your love be like the misty rains, coming softly, but flooding the river.
-Malagasy Proverb-

Forget love... I'd rather fall in chocolate!

Love is much like a wild rose, beautiful and calm, but willing to draw blood in its defense.
-Mark Overby-

Love one another and you will be happy. It's as simple and as difficult as that.

What say You?

Finding true love is the most difficult of life's quests. And some never find it.

I'm very lucky. I fell in love at the age of 16, got married at the age of 17, am still married to the same man after 45 years and still in love with him.

I wouldn't recommend marriage to people at that young age; like I said, I was extremely lucky! I am truly blessed!

Love is changing yourself to meet the need of your spouse and enjoying that your spouse is, in turn, changing for you as well. We can't change the other person, we can only change ourselves. Love ignites the desire to change. People who stay in love don't simply fall in love because falling in love is emotional and lacking in the strength to last. Choosing to love your spouse, regardless of life's situations or your spouse’s failures is a love that is committed to success.

Let me not to the marriage of true minds
    Admit impediments.
    Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove:
O no! it is an ever-fixed mark
    That looks on tempests and is never shaken;
It is the star to every wandering bark,
Whose worth's unknown, although his height be taken.
Love's not Time's fool, though rosy lips and cheeks
Within his bending sickle's compass come:
Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,
But bears it out even to the edge of doom.
If this be error and upon me proved,
I never writ, nor no man ever loved.

    Forgot to add:
here's an analysis of Sonnet 116, which looks semi-satisfactory but a bit stuffy, from my memories of "erudite" discussions thereupon. But the best analysis is that in your own noodle.

Also, the "fall in chocolate" one is almost good enough for me! Already fell in love tho. ;-)
