No NukeS are GooD NukeS..for SomE

What are Iran's nuclear ambitions?
And can we afford to sit around and surmise?

Quickie nuke lesson:

These are the countries which currently have nuclear power plants operating within their borders..... Argentina, Armenia, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Japan, South Korea, Lithuania, Mexico, Netherlands, Pakistan, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Ukraine, United Kingdom, and the United States.

If you think that's impressive...

"Countries that are exploring or actively seeking nuclear power capabilities include Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Israel, North Korea, Turkey, and Vietnam. The countries that are known to have stockpiles of nuclear weapons are Russia, the United States, France, China, Great Britain, Pakistan, and India. Israel is considered a de facto nuclear power by most observers, although it has long maintained that it will neither confirm nor deny whether it has nuclear weapons. North Korea is suspected to have joined the list of nuclear powers in 2005. South Africa once had nuclear weapons but has since reportedly destroyed the weapons, but not the capacity to manufacture them again if necessary."

We may not know the intentions of the other countries..But Iran has made their position clear as ice. Iran’s current nuclear ambitions are far from having ahem...peaceful purposes. They pose a greater threat to the United States and Israel than we are willing to abide.

Clear and present danger.

And we can be assured of one thing:

Israel will not hesitate for a moment in destroying Iran’s oil reserves if it perceives such military actions to be tactically advantageous....because despite the propaganda machine's accusations of other countries, -
Israel does not fight wars for oil. It fights wars for it's mere existence and survival.

It appears that Strategists at the Pentagon are drawing up plans even as we speak.
An ounce of prevention, my friends.......

EXCELLENT job. Nothing like putting the facts down straight. I've only been harping on this threat from Iran for forever it seems like.

On the US story of scoping out Iranian targets I question the reliability of the Telegraph for responsible reporting though. They have a tendency to instigate a story, rather than investigate it. Particularly disturbing are those news sources that are using the Telegraph as their source.

I suspect this story will rate right up there with the Mohammad cartoon disaster when it comes to the media perpetuating a story to create a political firestorm. There is nothing like rubbing salt into an already festering wound to create more pain and agony.

    I hope I am wrong.

    WHT,
you know how I fell about this one, the only way it could be worse is if OBL himself had the bomb. But of course, if Iran has one...

With all of the carping, harping, and screeding going on one thing is lost. It would be totally irresponsible for the Penatagon not to have contingincy plans to attack any country perceived as an enemy or to have plans to attack any ally threatened with invasion by an enemy.

Planning is not implementation. It is only planning. It is responsible conduct, not reprehensible action.
