    Well, you know how I feel about these blogosphere meme pool tag games: folks who turn their nose up at playin' them are probably too full of themselves.

    (OK, one or two of such folks have good reason to be... :-)).

    I have an easier way to come up with a post whenever I'm "blocked"--just have another cuppa joe.

    but then, although I have posted some pretty aweful pieces of crap as posts, from time to time, it hasn't been cos I was "blocked" on writing something better. it was cos I was just too lazy to work on getting something I did have to say down in a coherent, post-length essay. (Writing short, cohesive, meaningful pieces is more difficult than writing long, coherent, meaningful pieces.) Ideas and subject abound. In fact, too many ideas and subjects clamor for attention.

    I just glamced at the wall and saw a nail where I had recently taken down one of my old paintings. Two possible posts right there. One on the old painting (needs re-framing, the painting itself, the zeitgeist that informed it, etc.) and... the nail.

    There is no way a normally intelligent person can ever "use up" their creativity. It is not a well that CAN run dry, IMO.

    Sure, sometimes taking a break, changing pace, can allow a little refocusing, but I'm convinced that's really all that is. Folks who struggle for ideas make me think of a dog I once had that was constipated. The more he struggled to just GO, the worse his distress became...

    :-)

    Now watch: I'll be "blocked" for the first time in my life now, just cos I opened my fat mouth.

    I don't have one, but if I did, I might a medly of the "Theme from Patton" or the "Theme from I Spy, in reverse order. Hehehe.
