Woman Honor Thyself

Gee, ya wanna comment from me on your blog, so here it is.

    Oh, one with _content_?

Well, you know how I feel about these blogosphere meme pool tag games: folks who turn their nose up at playin' them are probably too full of themselves.

(OK, one or two of such folks have good reason to be... :-)).

I have an easier way to come up with a post whenever I'm "blocked"--just have another cuppa joe.

but then, although I have posted some pretty aweful pieces of crap as posts, from time to time, it hasn't been cos I was "blocked" on writing something better. it was cos I was just too lazy to work on getting something I did have to say down in a coherent, post-length essay. (Writing short, cohesive, meaningful pieces is more difficult than writing long, coherent, meaningful pieces.) Ideas and subject abound. In fact, too many ideas and subjects clamor for attention.

I just glamced at the wall and saw a nail where I had recently taken down one of my old paintings. Two possible posts right there. One on the old painting (needs re-framing, the painting itself, the zeitgeist that informed it, etc.) and... the nail.

There is no way a normally intelligent person can ever "use up" their creativity. It is not a well that CAN run dry, IMO.

Sure, sometimes taking a break, changing pace, can allow a little refocusing, but I'm convinced that's really all that is. Folks who struggle for ideas make me think of a dog I once had that was constipated. The more he struggled to just GO, the worse his distress became...

Now watch: I'll be "blocked" for the first time in my life now, just cos I opened my fat mouth.

I think tagging is fun. It helps people get to know each other and "network." :)

Heh, I've got a lot of catching up to do! :sheepishly:

Angel, so you're a runner? Man I wish I could still. Those doggone knees. When I'm about to pop for inspiration and it's summertime and I can squeeze in a 30 or 40 min bicycle ride, that helps. :D

Uh, ohyea... opinion on tagging? Hm... usually I honestly don't like it, but last time I got nailed - whoops, er, carefully selected - I was at a real worky-work kinda low, felt the whole workasphere crushing me, keeping me from my familysphere and the b'sphere... so at first I grumbled bigtime. But, it was about music, something I love, and (deftly not trying to appear full of myself, lest I incur the bitter keyboard of sir David the Prankster) I jumped in, feet first... and actually had f.u.n.!

Of course, next week I'm on a biz trip, and I have a week long one at end of March-begin April, so if I get tagged again I'm gonna haveta be a stuffed shirt, mostlikely. :-P

What the hay, a hat trick:

When I need inspiration for a new post, I just go look at the archive of stuff DL is patiently waiting for me post for him. Rather behind on that. (Sorry DL) He understands and yet he keeps writing and writing, it's just amazing.

    You see, he's retired.

There, can I go back to work now? ;-)

TMH: "There, can I go back to work now? ;-)"

Better not. It's the WEEKEND, dude!

(BTW, I hear you on the knees. Agony. Still, after losing 50 poiunds and taking my glucosamine and green tea extract supplements faithfully, I can jog parts of my daily regimen, now... )

My blogging partner would be God. He could poke way more fun at the nutjobs than I can. He's a swell guy.

I don't mind getting tagged, but not during the school year. Too busy!

I'll answer the first question here...

What is your blog’s theme song?

I don't have one, but if I did, I might a medly of the "Theme from Patton" or the "Theme from I Spy, in reverse order. Hehehe.

Thanks for not tagging me this time!
