My heart hurts too much to even post about this.

Israel – Acting( and that should be taken quite literally) Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has implemented Israeli withdrawal from the West Bank.

"Horse-mounted police, water cannons and specially trained riot officers faced off against hundreds of protesters who massed in Amona in hopes of halting the demolitions. Israeli television broadcast live footage of demonstrators, including women and children, being dragged and beaten by soldiers. Teenagers with bloody noses and head wounds were seen being removed from the scene. Police were shown using batons and gas canisters to clear the area of demonstrators."

If you have the stomach to view the video, you'd swear you were watching a clip from the Middle Ages - horses , pulling girls by the hair, the repeated clubbing of young people on the skull.....And for what?...Oh, yes...giving up the "West Bank".

What is the "West Bank"?

The West Bank is considered landlocked territory not officially recognized as part of any country. Israel calls the land "disputed." The United Nations (a.k.a. The Largest Sanctioned Anti-Semite Club in the World) claims the West Bank is "occupied" by Israel.(is that what we now call lands which we acquired in a war that was waged AGAINST us??) Israel maintains overall control of most of the area while the Palestinian Authority( a.k.a. Terrorists, Suicide bombers etc.) has jurisdiction in about 40 percent.

The territory remained under Jordanian rule from 1948 until Israel captured the West Bank in 1967 (um..after they were ATTACKED by the invading Arabz) after Jordan's King Hussein ignored Israeli pleas for his country to stay out of the Six Day War. Most countries rejected Jordan's initial claim on the area, which it formally renounced in 1988.

"The West Bank borders most of Israel's major cities, including Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. Military strategists long have estimated Israel must maintain the West Bank to defend its borders from any ground invasion."(a miniscule detail that Ehud Olmert conveniently forgot just prior to launching his Kadima Party's political campaign after official installation last month as party chairman..interesting timing wouldn't you say?)

Many villages in the West Bank, which Israelis commonly refer to as the "biblical heartland," are mentioned throughout the Old Testament."

And all this in the name of APPEASEMENT and a delusional hope for PEACE with a sworn enemy who has repeatedly said "Israel has NO right to exist."
So let's see...we take them on their word that if Israel hands over pieces of the tiny country a little at a time...they will finally stop bombing civilians...
But we don't believe them when they say they will not rest until they drive Israel and all the Jews into the Meditteranean?

If someone understands that kind of logic..Please clue us all in.
