"Hoping to lower tensions between the Mus-lim world and the West, British Prime Minister Tony Blair maintained the other day that the world confronts "a clash about civilization," not "a clash between civilizations." But the overriding lesson of events since Sept. 11, 2001, may be that you can't have one without the other.

In radical Isl-amic propaganda, the United States has graduated from being a mere Great Satan out to undermine Iran's ayatollahs to being depicted as a global monster responsible for virtually every crime and failing since the dawn of modern history. Meet the new Jews: the Americans.

Don't misunderstand. Americans have not replaced Jews at the top of the hate parade in Is-lamic countries. But the history of anti-Semitism, a word coined in Germany to provide a bogus scientific basis for prejudice against Jews, and its spread in recent years across the Middle East as an all-purpose explanation of whatever is wrong, should give Americans no cause for complacency.

The centrality of American power to global change -- good and bad, economic and political, topsy and turvy -- inevitably carries with it a heavy burden abroad of resentment and opposition. In the wake of Sept. 11 and wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, a widespread stereotyping and a visceral hatred that imputes racial characteristics to national policies and actions have also taken hold.

The distemper of these global times can be read in a wide variety of settings, where this new virulent anti-Americanism competes with historical anti-Semitism as a single explanation for the failures and delusions of entire nations..

Second, Americans need to recognize that the problems we face in the Middle East are bigger than the failings or mistakes of Bush & Co. Those problems would not fade quickly if U.S. troops left Iraq tomorrow."

Someone commits a hate crime every hour in the good ole U.S.A.and at least three Jews become hate crime victims.
American history is rife with prejudice against groups and individuals because of their race, including Blacks as well as Jews...However, the 20th century witnessed tremendous progress in outlawing discrimination, and nowadays most upstanding Americans are against any form of bigotry.

But "hate groups" such as Izlamofacists haven't caught up with the times.They must produce stereotypes, the evil Jew, the arrogant American, to justify their unequal treatment,terror and to maintain an atmosphere of rage among their people.
At different times in history hate wore different faces...Today the Jew and the American have earned the spotlight.
The murderous Izlamofacists and the PC-dominated left wing groups who appease these enemies and publicly defame our soldiers, now unite.

Acceptance of differences and tolerance of others , however is human choice. It stems from a deep rooted belief that all people are valuable, that no one is inherently less than another. Not exactly consistent with Izlamofacist indoctrination now is it?

Fallen troops' effects handled with care Medals, mail -- maybe even a forbidden pup. These folks get it home.

"ABERDEEN, Md. - The personal stuff they carried to war, the remnants of lives lost in Iraq, was spread neatly across long tables in a drafty warehouse last week.
Mortuary affairs troops wearing surgical gloves at the Joint Personal Effects Depot went about the tedious work of counting and separating out what belonged to the soldier and what belonged to the government...

In three years of war, Lt. Col. Deborah Skillman, the depot's commander, said her unit at the military's Aberdeen Proving Ground has cut the time for getting the personal effects back to the families from 45 to 22 days.
But the checklist efficiency does little to relieve the stress of handling, photographing and doing the inventory on the last items a fallen comrade may have held, laughed about, cared about.

"You're touching somebody's life here," said Army Capt. Cathy Carman, 34, of Eustis, Fla., who is in charge of the section that carefully packs and boxes up the belongings for shipment home.
"It's an emotional job; nobody here will argue about that," Carman said.

She gestured to a box of tissues kept nearby for the 120 troops and civilian personnel, many of them retired military, who handle the items belonging to soldiers and Marines killed in action.
Driver's license, house keys, letters from home, a Bronze Star, a Purple Heart, diaries, cigarette lighters, Air Jordans, photo albums, children's drawings, Christmas stockings. Also the spent cartridges from the farewell salute fired by the service member's buddies in Iraq.

When a soldier is killed, his unit inventories and packs what he kept at his bunk site in rucksacks, sea bags and footlockers.
The personal effects of the more than 2,300 troops killed in Iraq have all gone first to the Dover, Del., Air Force Base and then to Aberdeen.

Rivera pointed to a torn-up piece of a brown paper bag with "We Love You" in what appeared to be a child's scrawl written in crayon upon it.
"We don't know what that is. Maybe it's something a kid in Iraq gave to him. It was in his stuff and that's going home.."

Is it about what they "own"?
Sometimes we construct meanings for material objects much in the same way we construct meanings for people..
We all have that special, cherished, or "favorite" possession.
Yes this is our "stuff"..a mere tangible item - clothing, jewelry..perhaps a saved letter.
But it is not of consequence what this soldier "owned". It is now about letting those who loved him or her own more "joy" through the memories of her prized possession...own more love by letting his memory shine out to all those honor him...
and for us ..to own more respect for those laying down their lives for us...even as we speak.

More Human Remains Found Near WTC Site
"NEW YORK - Construction workers cleaning toxic waste from a vacant skyscraper near the World Trade Center site have found more bone fragments and human remains, officials said Tuesday.

The city medical examiner's office plans to extract DNA from the latest remains to be recovered from the former Deutsche Bank building and try to match it against a database of the 2,749 people killed at the trade center on Sept. 11, 2001, said Ellen Borakove, spokeswoman for the city medical examiner's office.

More than 40 percent of the victims at the trade center have not been identified. The medical examiner's office is storing more than 9,000 unidentified remains and hope that more sophisticated DNA technology can allow for identifications in the future."

For the last 58 years Israel has done its best to establish and maintain this democracy. In fact, they are a constant reminder to the surrounding nations of their own failures. Despite living in a terrain that is not conducive to crop growth they have been able, with the exception of grain, to be self sustainable. With a labor force of less than 2.5 million they have a GDP of $123 billion. Because of their lack of resources they have learned to excel in the services sector of business.

Being a relative sliver of land they have been able to defend themselves physically and ideologically from their surrounding enemies. They have stood up against nations that have
superior resources and finances. The only true ally that they have has is the United States.

Every day they face homicide bombers and enemies on the brink. They have had to watch as diplomats made excuses for the actions of those who wish to destroy Israel...

They have watched murderous thugs receive peace prizes and awards from the world body. Despite this, they continue to fight for their right to exist. Had their neighbors accepted the partition in 1948 none of what they face today would be occurring."

Come to think of it,in my local news report, radio newscast,...or even on the World Wide Web (of deceit).......
"U.S. soldiers serving in Iraq have distributed more than 1,000 free wheelchairs to disabled Iraqis since July 2005, according to a non-profit group that donates the chairs.
American Heroes: Soldiers Build Wheelchairs for Iraqis
The specially-designed chairs are made from modified plastic patio chairs, mountain bike wheels, and steel frames. Each chair costs less than $45 for parts and shipping.

According to the group's website, the design makes the wheelchairs durable and the mountain bike wheels enable the operators of the chairs to navigate rough terrain where a traditional wheelchair would give them trouble.

Soldiers and other volunteers use their free time to participate in the program. Soldiers assemble the chairs and distribute them to Iraqis of all ages who have debilitating diseases like cerebral palsy and injuries that limit mobility."

One small detail that mainstream media seem to forget:
The soldier, not the liberal reporter -is the one who preserves our "freedom of the press".

Guard the Borders Blogburst of the Week

This past week there were numerous demonstrations across the country, as immigrants were organized to protest any federal legislation that would tighten immigration enforcement. The rallies were organized by unions, church groups, socialist activists, civil rights advocates, and immigrant organizations to demand free immigration rights as their due and protest the "unjust laws" of our nation.

Los Angeles had the nation's largest mobilization of immigrants ever, which the LA Times described as "boisterous" and "spirited" and "mostly peaceful": "The marchers included both longtime residents and the newly arrived, bound by a desire for a better life and a love for this county." ("Newly arrived" being a politically-correct euphemism for "illegal".) The estimated crowd of 500,000 proudly carried tens of thousands of Mexican flags, which belied the blissful claim that they are "bound by a love for this country".

"There has never been this kind of mobilization in the immigrant community ever," said Joshua Hoyt, executive director of the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights. "They have kicked the sleeping giant. It's the beginning of a massive immigrant civil rights struggle."

In Georgia, many Latinos protested a newly passed bill aimed at curbing illegal immigration by not working or shopping for the day. Guess what? The state's economy didn't collapse! A small American rally in Temecula, CA, focused on border security and law enforcement. We also saw peaceably demonstrating American citizens attacked by an unruly crowd of pro-illegal immigration and socialist protesters in Indiana.

This week, our Senate continues the debate on illegal immigration, with an upcoming vote on the McCain-Kennedy Amnesty bill. And, pressing for his "guest worker" program, our President repeats the tired (and untrue) refrain that our country needs these workers to do what Americans won't:

"We must remember there are hardworking individuals, doing the jobs that Americans will not do, who are contributing the economic vitality of our country," the president said in his weekend radio address.

However, the Minuteman Party has responded:

No longer content to sit on the sidelines while politicians sell out our sovereignty and turn our citizenship into a yoke of slavery in the service of foreign interests, we are fighting that government "of the people, by the people, and for the people shall not perish from the earth".

What is this precious sovereignty that we need to safeguard? Why is it central to our existence as a free nation? And how does it relate to our national security? Considering the fact that pro-illegal immigration forces were able to mobilize hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens to demonstrate their demands for what Americans have and their rights to the privileges of our citizenship, it is imperative that we understand how much we have to lose. Because once lost, it can never be regained. These issues have been addressed in layman's terms in a series of excellent essays by LinknZona. The first in the series defines security and sovereignty and how the two are irrevocably linked (reproduced below with permission). Security and Sovereignty No. 1: What Are We Talking About?

This is the first post in a new series addressing the security and sovereignty of the United States. These words are related but quite different in meaning and nuance. Security is a noun meaning safety, the absence of danger or risk. In the national context, it means vigilance and actions taken by the government to prevent invasion, attack, and the sabotage, spying, and treason that accompany them; the totality of measures taken to keep the nation safe and free from danger. More realistically in today’s world, rather than free from danger; security means to minimize the risks or threats.

Sovereignty is a noun and means a government free from external control or the authority of one country to govern another. An important point is the source of sovereignty. The historical model of a kingdom was that the king ruled by divine right. In a totalitarian state power is gained and then held by force and coercion. In democratic countries, i.e. the US, power derives from the people. There are additional forms and various gradations between the definitions, but for the purposes herein, we will emphasize totalitarian and democratic countries.

One shudders at the thoughts of countries without a history of security: Poland, Israel, and the Low Countries – these have been invaded throughout history and repeatedly have lost their sovereignty. That they stand free today is a tribute to man’s strength and hope. Jordan kicked the Palestinians out of their country and chased them into Lebanon and for more than a quarter of a century Syria held de facto sovereignty over most of Lebanon. In contrast, the United Kingdom has remained a sovereign nation for centuries.

A country can lose its sovereignty in several ways. By conquest, by a division or a ceding as in a small country caught between two powerful neighbors, by appeasing an aggressive neighbor with territory or control, or by allowing migration, or infiltration of peoples from one country into another one until sufficient numbers and power are gained by the infiltrators to demand partitioning or complete control. Thus, we see the link between security and sovereignty. In the ever dangerous world in which we live, sovereignty cannot be maintained without security. Therefore, if sovereignty is the will of the people then they must devise and organize a national strategy for security. Sovereignty requires security from war and conquest, from domination by other countries and partitioning or territorial ceding, security from threats and intimidation, and security from infiltration.

Woman Gets Ticket For Bush-Bashing Bumper Sticker

Decatur, GA -- The officer cited 47-year-old Denise Grier for her bumper sticker that takes a dig at President Bush. It combines Bush's name with a vulgar four-letter word, as in "I'm Tired of All The (blank)."

The officer cited the registered nurse at Emory University Hospital for violating a state law prohibiting lewd or profane stickers and decals on vehicles.
Grier, the officer and an attorney for the American Civil Liberties Union will meet in court next month when Grier contests the misdemeanor charge which carries a $100 fine.

Grier told the Athens Banner-Herald yesterday that she's not "a huge political activist or rabble-rouser." But she says, "I am so appalled at the officer's attempt to squash my freedom of speech.
The ACLU says the Georgia Supreme Court ruled more than a decade ago that the law against lewd bumper stickers is unconstiutional.

In addition to the offending bumper sticker, Grier's white Chrysler's rear window sports two other political statements: A crossed-out "W" and "Hillary 2008."

Obscene” speech, “fighting words,” “clear and present danger” speech, defaming and libelous speech “can, consistent with the First Amendment, be regulated because of their constitutionally proscribable content....” R.A.V. v. "KABUL, Afghanistan - An Afghan court on Sunday dismissed a case against a man who converted from Is-lam to Christianity because of a lack of evidence and he will be released soon, officials said.

The announcement came as U.S.-backed President Hamid Karzai faced mounting foreign pressure to free Abdul Rahman, a move that risked angering Mus-lim clerics here who have called for him to be killed."

"He said several of Rahman's family members have testified that the 41-year-old has mental problems. "It is the job of the attorney general's office to decide if he is mentally fit to stand trial," he told AP."

Mus-lim clerics had threatened to incite Afghans to kill Rahman if the government freed him. They said he clearly violated Is-lamic Sha-riah law by rejecting Is-lam.

Karzai has had to be careful not to offend Is-lamic sensibilities at home and alienate religious conservatives who wield considerable power.
He said Rahman had been asking guards for a Bible but that they did not have any to give him."

Have you ever heard of a major political decision being changed "so as not to offend" women, or Jews for that matter? Despite huge outcry and civil protest anti-Christian artwork is routinely displayed, and yet the proprietors don't reconsider "so as not to offend" Christians.

Why is that?
It's all about the Anger.
Anger is "an emotional state that varies in intensity-anywhere from mild irritation to intense rage.
The instinctive,or what some would even call the most "natural way" to express anger is to respond aggressively.
Anger is a adaptive response when one if feeling "threatened".It often evokes powerful, aggressive, feelings and behaviors, which allow us to fight and to defend ourselves (and our loved ones) when we are attacked. In other words, a certain amount of anger, is healthy therefore,and even necessary to our survival."

Conversely, we can't very well physically lash out at every person or object that upsets, irritates or annoys us. That's called barbarism.
We therefore inact laws,institute social norms, and trust that common sense will place limits on how far our anger can take us.

Then there is the sociocultural influence.In some cultures, anger is often regarded as negative, while in South Central L.A.for example, gang members are "rewarded" and considered "macho" when they riot and burn cars.
Some consider anger "taboo", and may be taught that it's all right to express anxiety, depression, or other emotions but not to express anger. As a result, they don't learn how to handle it or to even channel it constructively.

One thing we do know is that family background plays a huge role. Typically, people who are easily angered come from families that are disruptive, chaotic, and not skilled at emotional communications.

In essence when governments withdraw political positions "so as not to offend" Muzlims, what they are really saying is ..."so as not to incur their wrath"..and their subsequent pathological. rageful, murderous, barbaric behavior.

You see, a "healthy" response to an anger provoking situation is to reduce both your emotional feelings and the physiological arousal that anger causes.
You learn very early on in life that you can not eliminate or avoid, all the people or things that enrage you, and you certainly know you have no power to directly change them. The one thing a 'mentally healthy' person learns, however is that he or she can learn to control his or her reactions.

In essence when we hear of policy change due to government's "sensitivity" toward a "group"..(since when has government of all things concerned themselves with emotion?)...
that "group" should be far from flattered.

Read between the lines.
What is meant is that your "people" have a history of acting in ways that are out of control and frightening. They are viewed as undisciplined, unevolved "hotheadeds" who clearly get angry more easily and more intensely than a balanced person does.
They are prone to show their anger in violent ways - cursing, throwing things, burning buildings, cars, physically assualting or killing other people.

In other words, they simply have no ability to take things in stride, most especially if the situation seems to them somehow unjust.

But as we all know...(or at least the "healthy" ones among us)..
Unbridled anger actually escalates anger and aggression. In addition to which it does nothing to help you resolve the problem or situation.

So, in essence, we are dealing with not only one person but millions who have proven themselves incapable of proper "impulse control" and " conflict resolution".

They behave very much like a poorly disciplined child or bully, who feels self righteous and justified, believing that there is no way to solve the problem. They thus choose to bully, alienate,humiliate and torture people who might otherwise be willing to work with them on finding a compromise or long term solution.

The attorney general's office is to decide if Rahman "is mentally fit to stand trial,"?
That's laughable.
In a culture where they all feel morally right, where any compromise or changing of their ways is an unbearable indignity that they deem that they should not have to suffer...
where violence is the first response to disappointment and frustration...

Oh yea, they are excellent diagnosticians of 'Mental Health' aren't they?

Controversial Prophet Mu-hammad Cartoons Appear At Free-Speech Rally

London, England -- About 200 people have turned out for a free-speech demonstration in central London. And some of them carried posters of the controversial cartoons of the Prophet Muh-ammad that infuriated much of the Mus-lim world.

Protest organizers had originally invited protesters to display the images on banners and T-shirts. But they later withdrew that invitation to avoid alienating sympathetic Mus-lims.

The reversal prompted hundreds of angry Internet responses from people who called it political censorship.

Some demonstrators showed their support for the cartoons by carrying signs saying "Stop Toonophobia." Others draped themselves in Danish flags.
Nine men identified by police as Mus-lim counter-protesters were escorted away."

Escorted away eh?..ahem..were those the "symathetic ones"?

Is your belief in 'free speech'based upon your morals, or on other people's morals?
We know the United States Government rarely gets directly involved in censorship issues, save during wartime. (which despite the elective "blindness" of the Left..this IS)

Our oft quoted First Amendment guarantees freedom of expression within certain limits defined by the Supreme Court. Senators and congressmen have always been loathe to create censorship laws, as just about every attempt to do so (even involving brutal and violent images of torturing women) have been struck down as unconstitutional.
And along come the Muzlims claiming some cartoons "offensive". The presses come to a grinding halt.

Afghan Christian 'likely to be released soon : official

"An Afghan Christian facing possible execution for converting from Is-lam was likely to be released from jail "soon," a senior government official said following huge Western pressure over the case.
He is likely to be released soon," the official said, adding there would be a top-level meeting on the matter Saturday.

Abdul Rahman was arrested two weeks ago under Is-lamic Sha-ria law and faced a possible death sentence in a case that has attracted widespread condemnation, especially from the United States.
Afghanistan's Supreme Court said Thursday it was trying to find a "good solution" to the case, the first of its kind here, including persuading Rahman to revert to Is-lam.

Sha-ria law, on which the Afghan constitution is partly based, rules that conversion away from Is-lam must be punished by death if the accused person fails to revert."

Okay, American Civil Liberties Union, People for the (anything but) American Way, and People United for Separation of Church and State --- don’t get yourselves in an uproar! It’s history. The above event happened twice --- 1777 and 1782 when Congress ordered 20,000 Bibles each time for the benefit of citizens and childrens’ education...

..Then there was no question about the Bible as education...The last 80 years, the ACLU and others have taken America’s Christian foundation to court --- and Won! through the idiocy of socialist-minded, self-serving Supreme Court judges...

Today’s public schools, connected as they are to the purse strings of the secular federal government, have pushed God and His Word out of the schools thereby limiting childrens’ education. Children lack background reference to many phrases common in language such as “walk on water,” “pearls before swine,” “30 pieces of silver,” “the Golden Rule,” and “the last shall be first.” How would a child or an adult know where these phrases originated or what they mean unless they have read the Bible?

Despite the attempt to twist the First Amendment to suit small-minded and self-serving interest groups, the people are responding through adopting Bible curriculum as an elective in high schools. One such group is the National Council on Bible Curriculum in Public Schools (NCBCPS). Their course called “The Bible as History and Literature” is taught in 1,100 high schools in 346 school districts in 37 states, from Alaska and California to New Jersey and Florida. The Bible is the textbook. The ACLU does not endorse this curriculum but has not sued to date.

Imagine the Congress authorizing the printing of the Bible for public schools today. The enraged outcry from special interests, minority groups, and other secular, atheist factions would further extinguish the voices that speak to us through the Bible."

Back in the day, a common question would be - What does Bible say about..?It was God who set the moral standards for mankind. How does morality exist outside of the theological context?
Look around you these days...it doesn't.

What you bear witness to is moral chaos reminiscent of ancient Israel before the time of its kings when "everyone did what was right in his own eyes" (Judges 21:25).To state that moral relativism and situational ethics work in the long run is a purely dishonest rationalization.

While it is certainly appealing to think that humans would discover "on their own"- that murder, lying, stealing, and pornogrpahy are harmful enough to the general welfare to be considered morally wrong...the evidence lies in the decadent Godless culture you see before you.

When deciding issues of "right or wrong" it seems most find themselves hopelessly trapped in a maze of confusion with no clear direction.
Homosexual marriage?
Polygamy?
Incest?
Bestiality?

Wer'e lost with respect to the most fundamental aspects of our lives: Our locus of control,what truly gives us self-esteem, our social values, and the status of the family.

Perhaps next time we are faced with a moral dilmemna, we would do wise to ask "What does Bible say about..?"

Homeowner Finds Bloody Alligator On Doorstep

"Bonita Springs, FL -- So now the alligators are going door to door.

A Florida woman heard someone knocking at the door of her home in Bonita Springs this week. When she looked out, she saw an eight-foot alligator.

Lori Pachelli says the bull gator had a bloody lip from banging its head against the door.

It apparently had wandered up from the pond behind her house. She says it may have followed her home from walking her dog.

The gator remained at the door for about an hour before going back into the water, where a trapper later captured it.

The trapper says it's not unusual to find male alligators in interesting places this time of year since it's breeding season."

Moral of the Story anyone?...heh.

Okie...Let us see now sweet readers........In addition to sneaking into this country, which in case Hil forgot is in violation of the immigration law that requires that aliens be documented for legal entry affectionately known as ""entry without inspection" , others enter with legal documentation and then proceed to violate the terms on which they have been admitted by taking jobs that are not authorized or overstaying the authorized period of stay in the country.

According to CIS The Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) estimates that in January of 2000 there were
7 million illegal aliens living in the United States, a number that is growing by half a million a year.(You do the Math) Thus, the illegal-alien population in 2003 stands at at least 8 million. Included in this estimate are approximately 78,000 illegal aliens from countries who are of special concern in the war on terror.

And what of the hundred thousand that are ahem...."of special concern in the war on terror."Oh. silly me...There IS no WaR on TerroR, because wer'e not being terrorized Hil Right?...what was I thinking?

But Truth be told, The "Jesus" touch was priceless. You know how it goes..The more extreme and passionate your contempt for moral values and God, the more the "blood letting" begins.

Abstinence Is Harmful? News To Us

Today the American Civil Liberties Union issued a press release which is featured on their website's " Newsroom" page that is titled, " ACLU Hails Rhode Island Department of Education Efforts to Stop the Use of Harmful "Abstinence-Only-Until-Marriage" Curriculum in Public Schools ". Only the ACLU and a liberal state like Rhode Island could find abstaining from sexual activity harmful.

The fact is that abstinence is the only form of birth control and STD prevention that works 100% that it is employed. By practicing the ultimate in safe sex, NO SEX, no children are unnecessarily slaughtered in the name of choice, no drugs are being used in order to prevent pregnancy for the sake of promiscuity, and no one will need to be treated for sexually transmitted diseases. So what is the ACLU's difficulty with teaching this effective form of birth control? Homosexuals in this nation cannot be married in any other state than Massachusetts. And no other state except Massachusetts recognizes marriages performed to same sex couples. If abstinence is taught as it should be, as the ONLY effective form of birth control and STD prevention, homosexuals will not be receiving the indoctrination that the ACLU believes that they should.

By accepting that teenagers are going to have sex before marriage and taking a position of defeatism in the war to prevent this from occurring, we are then telling teenagers to go ahead and have sex. This is akin to telling your child not to shop lift but if they are going to anyway to not get caught. Then teaching them methods on not getting caught as opposed to teaching them to just plain not do it.

Abstinence is not harmful, it is the only truly safe and healthy program out there. Condoms don't protect against Human Papilloma Virus or Herpes. Hormonal birth control don't protect against STDs and is only 92% effective (this means if you have sex 100 times, you have an 8% chance of getting pregnant even with the pill when taken as directed.). And we all know how many women forget to take the pills. Add to that the dangers when artificially changing the hormonal balance in a woman's system can lead to increased chances of cancer and heart disease.

Fact - Condoms break, leak, and do not protect against HPV or Herpes. Some people are have allergies to latex.
Fact - Birth Control Pills don't protect against STDs and mess with the hormonal balance in the woman's body.
Fact - Herpes is transmitted by skin contact and requires no fluid transfer.
Fact - A fetus is a living being called a baby not tissue or a parasite.
Fact - Abortion has been linked to increased occurrences of Breast Cancer.
Fact - Post abortive women experience a high rate of depression and repeat abortions.
Fact - Some risks associated with abortion include internal bleeding and infection.
Fact - The only way to avoid these complications is to not have sex and the ACLU calls teaching this fact harmful.

Why do you suppose so many are outraged by even the very existence of the State of Israel?

I contend it is because they have been duped. The association has been made that has likened Israelis to "The White Man" a.k.a. the bad ole European oppressors and A-rabs, who prefer the fictitious name "Palestinians", to Blacks or Native Americans namely, indigenous people of colour who have been abused and kicked out of what they purport to be their native home.

Then the liberals or or even some conscientious, though ignorant people - sound the cry of Racism! Colonialism!..and the A-rab propaganda machine is off to races.

Reads like a real fairy tale, however, without a morsel of Truth.

For starters, most of the Jooooooooooos in Israel are not even White. While the A-rabs were ceremoniously rejecting those who fled their homes and allowing the formation of "refugee camps" for their people instead, hundreds of thousands of Jewish refugees from Arab countries flocked to Israel, who welcomed them with open arms. They and their generations of children make up the majority of Jews in Israel.

As to some in the Black community, who have been known to use the heated term "apartheid" when referring to Israel-- I say - not only were women and Jews a huge part of the Civil War Movement in this country, but a large majority of the Jews who never left Israel were from North Africa. So I suppose we could call them "African-Israelis" if you will.
Many others came from what is present day Iraq, Morocco Egypt,Syria,and Yemen. Not exactly "White Europeans" eh?

And as they say..The rest is history.
Once the Muzlims conquered Israel, Jews were massacred, abused and oppressed for over 1,300 years.

Oh, and the next time you read in the news how the "vicious Israelis" stole -"the West Bank" or "Gaza".Let me fill you in on a tidbit. After Israel was declared a State in 1948, and the
A-rabs subsequently chose to wage war to destroy her...Guess who controlled "the West Bank" and "Gaza"?..
The "White Imperialist Israel"?..Sorry. No cigar. They were controlled by Jordan and Egypt.
THEY built the "refugee' camps to throw their own brothers and sisters in.
Now that sounds like racism and apartheid to me.

The only reason "the refugee" problem is Israel's to begin with is due to yet another war waged against her in 1967. Despite that- Israel shelled out millions for their "inherited A-rab population" in medical, housing and educational needs alone.
Bear in mind, dear readers , there are 22 A-rab States ...doing less than nothing to ameliorate the very "refugee" problem they created.

They're angry, they're motivated, and they say their voices are going to be heard: A conservative, pro-military group has launched an effort to have former President Jimmy Carter censured by Congress.
Group Seeks to Censure Jimmy CarterThat effort includes a CensureCarter website, ( Censure Carter )-which includes photos of Carter with various dictators and terrorists. Next week, Move America Forward said it will unveil a television ad campaign to spread the word about the effort to censure Carter.

"...Carter has attacked American foreign policy in North Korea while praising that nation's brutal dictator; he has attacked American foreign policy in Cuba while propping up "the murderous thug, Fidel Castro." And now Carter is condemning American and Israeli policies against terrorism while urging support for the terrorist organization, Hamas.

A non-binding censure resolution serves as a Congressional reprimand, and can be issued against either a sitting or former president or other political leader.

There is a growing constituency of Americans who have had enough of "Blame America First" politicians hurting our nation and the important missions being served by our troops in the fight against terrorism,"

Censure is in essence a process of Congressional reprimand, namely the political equivalent of a strongly-worded letter. Less severe than outright expulsion, a censure, otherwise known as condemnation or denouncement- is a formal statement of disapproval, which can have a powerful psychological effect.

Perhaps Carter only influences those of a weak mind who are susceptible and vulnerable to his pathological, anti-American and anti-Semitic lies. But he clearly needs to jolted back into reality.
Perhaps his senses have been temporarily disabled, or his mind unable to grasp the consequences of his words.

It is widely known that all spiritual teachers have uniformly recommended "the practice of silence."
"Death and life are in the power of the tongue" (Proverbs 18:21).

It is high time to remove that power from Jimmy Carter.

What's the first thing that springs to mind when I say : FOOD?

A plate of pleasure with guilt to follow has some insights.

"Guilt about the pleasure of eating is nothing new, and if diet gurus sound almost evangelical, there's a very good reason for it.
..although cloaked in the language of science and nutrition, prevailing Western preoccupations with diet, self-control and the body stretch back...to antiquity.

Clearly people find pleasure in eating foods, but pleasure challenges self-control, and pleasure has a long history in our culture of being highly problematic because it challenges reason and logic - what you're doing is caving in to bodily and hedonistic senses."

Let's face it. Food = Pleasure (at least for most people I know, or at least the ones willing to admit it..Heh)

Do you eat for "pleasure" or just for its dietary benefit. (Yea...Rrrrrright..Heh)

The pleasure of food is the sensation of well-being that derives from the fulfillment of a basic natural instinct.
What many don't realize is that the pleasure we get from food is not only physical sensation, but emotional and psychological as well.

But..What to eat?
Bland rice cake or rich, decadent brownie?

Cholesterol
Fat
Pesticides
Sugar
Salt

Do you monitor the content or gobble down the gummie bears?

Do you consume more if the food is attractively presented?
Do you appreciate food for its its "ritualistic value"...dinner with the family at 6.
Is the only food you can eat without guilt a celery stalk or carrot stick?
Do ya feel "deprived" if you don't have your "favorite" dish or dessert?

Some find the ultimate pleasure in eating the creations of a well-known chef, whereas others enjoy the emotions associated with a "home cooked meal" by a loved one.
Historically, food has also been a way to cope with stress...Ice-cream anyone?

Try as we may to avoid it, so much of our social life revolves around food.

So g'head, indulge that appetite, but don't forget to give thanks to the One who gave you the glory of this simple pleasure.

Parents of son charged in beating may lose girl

This gives new meaning to the word "brother." An archived story:

"MADISON HEIGHTS -- The Oakland County Prosecutor's Office on Thursday will attempt to permanently end the parental rights of a Madison Heights couple who police say neglected to seek medical help for their daughter after her older brother allegedly beat her over her relationship with a non-Muzlim boy.
The 15-year-old girl, who is a Madison Heights Lamphere High junior, suffered a broken back in the beating, according to court documents.

She complained of the injury to her parents, but they didn't take her to a doctor because they condoned the punishment her brother gave her," said Robert Zivian, an assistant Oakland County prosecuting attorney assigned to the neglect case.

The following day, when the girl was still complaining of injuries, her parents called for an ambulance, according to Madison Heights Police Detective Sgt. Ron Hillman.

She was in a lot of pain, and when she eventually went back to school, it was in a wheelchair, Hillman said. It was too painful for her to stand for any period of time.

The girl initially told hospital workers she fell, Hillman said. After being questioned by police, she admitted that her brother had beaten her because he was upset over her relationship with a boy who was not of their religious faith, Hillman said.

She wrote me a two-page statement about how both her brother and her parents disapproved of the situation," he said. "She wrote that's what prompted the beating in the first place."

Now she is recanting the original story and also claiming she fell down some stairs," Zivian said."

Violence can shatter your life in many ways. In our culture most often the violent person who punches, kicks, rapes, and mutilates women is a husband, former husband, boyfriend, or ex-boyfriend.
One of the first pieces of advice offered to victims of violence is to seek help from other family members and friends or community organizations.
A brother perhaps?
Big brothers are the ones who protect their little sisters from the "bad boys" aren't they?

Perhaps Muzlims need to have some new words put into their vocabularies: Umm...this is called ABUSE:
physical abuse.
psychological or emotional abuse.
sexual assault.
(and ..it's a crime not to mention a violation of human rights.)

To say that this religion and culture don't legitimize and therefore perpetuate violence against women is a bold faced lie. This story is no isolated "incident".
The fact is- Muzlim women all over the globe live in an atmosphere of terror, which often permeates abusive relationships.

Contary to the mythical liberal notion, we cannot transform the cultural, social, and legal environment in the Muzlim community that gives rise to and condones widespread violence against women.
It would require long-term commitment and strategies involving all parts of their government and society.
Only when women are viewed as equal members of society will violence against them longer be an invisible norm but, instead, a shocking aberration.

Illegals involved in crashes, traffic stops, say authorities

"Four vehicles loaded with 42 suspected illegal immigrants were involved in separate accidents early today on highways in Eastern Colorado, authorities say. Two other vehicles were stopped on the Western Slope, with more suspected illegal immigrants inside.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents were in the process of arresting each of the suspected illegal immigrants, Wynn said.

At 6:35 a.m., a 1995 Ford Econoline carrying 16 people rolled on U.S. Highway 6 near Brush. No one was injured in the accident and all 16 occupants were taken into custody by immigration officials, Master Trooper Ron Watkins said.

At 7:11 a.m. on Interstate-70 near Seibert, a Chevy Suburban rolled with 10 occupants aboard.

At 8:03 a.m. on Interstate-76 near Brush a 1999 Chevy Suburban rolled with four occupants. Some of the passengers had minor injuries, but no one was taken to a hospital, Watkins said

At 8:19 a.m. on Interstate-76 near Brush, a 1998 GMC van with 12 occupants rolled. No one was injured, he said.

The series of accidents happened as a stream of illegal immigrants are entering the U.S., mostly from Mexico, at the beginning of the growing season, Wynn said."

Under Title 8 Section 1325 of the U.S. Code, "Improper Entry by Alien," any citizen of any country other than the United States who:

Enters or attempts to enter the United States at any time or place other than as designated by immigration officers; or

Eludes examination or inspection by immigration officers; or

Attempts to enter or obtains entry to the United States by a willfully false or misleading representation or the willful concealment of a material fact;
has committed a federal crime.
Illegal Immigration is a Crime
"Apologists for illegal immigration like to paint it as a victimless crime. But in fact, illegal immigration causes substantial harm to American citizens and legal immigrants, particularly those in the most vulnerable sectors of our population--the poor, minorities, and children.

Illegal immigration causes an enormous drain on public funds. The seminal study of the costs of immigration by the National Academy of Sciences found that the taxes paid by immigrants do not cover the cost of services received by them. We cannot provide high quality education, health care, and retirement security for our own people if we continue to bring in endless numbers of poor, unskilled immigrants."

An American Soldier.

They stand tall, take an oath and Swear, "To protect and serve."
Yet some of us feel they never quite get the praise that they deserve.

Some of us speak up for the American Soldier, one of the most generous and possibly the least appreciated person on all the earth.

This is my attempt in a small way to pay a tiny bit of what we owe. Make people stop and think of our heroes, living and dead, who sacrifice themselves for us.
Some whose fates are still unknown and some- still waiting, to come home.

As some of my buddies know, I have had the blessing to work with soldiers returning from Iraq as well as their families. Make no mistake, my friends, we stand now at a critical moment in the history of our civilization, beset by enemies who irrationally embrace their own destruction along with ours...and yet our fate lies in the hands of the American soldier.

As some of you know Blue Star Chronicles dedicate themselves to honor and even whip up local support for our men and women in the United States Armed Forces.

Let's give them some 'muscle' shall we.

But bribery and human ingenuity have made it easy for prospective parents to skirt the law; a suitably compensated ultrasound technician need only smile or frown at the expectant mother.

Women now risk being kidnapped and forced into prostitution and wedlock. Mass sexual frustration is adding a potent ingredient to an increasingly volatile regional cocktail of problems that include surging economic growth, urbanization, drug abuse and environmental degradation.

Understanding the effect of the testosterone overload may be most important in China, the rising Asian superpower. Prompted by expert warnings, the Chinese authorities are already groping for answers.

In 2004, President Hu Jintao asked the country's senior demographers to study whether the country's one-child policy – which sharply accentuates the preference for males – should be revised.

In 19th-century northern China, drought, famine and locust invasions apparently provoked a rash of female infanticide.

Some Chinese experts speculate, off the record, that there might be a connection between the shortage of women and the spread of open gay life since 2001, when homosexuality was deleted from the official "Classification of Mental Disorders." It is possible to dream up all kinds of scenarios: Mumbai and Shanghai may soon rival San Francisco as gay capitals.

More likely, the organized crime networks that traffic in women will shift their deliveries toward Asia and build a brothel culture large enough to satisfy millions of sexually frustrated young men."

Deeeeeeeeeeep breath.
OK, Let me get this straight.
In Asia- Women are needed for one thing only: to assume the role of stimulators of men's visual and sexual interest. Just like in the pornography industry- women exist solely to fulfill men's desires -- they have no real substance of their own. To see anyone as existing only to serve you and to fulfill you is, one of the worst forms of dehumanization.

These ahem.."men', for lack of a better term.. can value and appreciate the physical characteristics of women but ignore her personal "being" or any of the inner complexities that are inherent in human beings. She is therefore: disposable.
This hatred, scorn, hostility and animosity is so strong that mothers kill off their own baby daughters.

It is the absence of all compassion, the absence of a recognition of even a common humanity for "girls".

Thus, Women should be allowed to live when sexually expedient but murdered before they are even born if they are deemed "of no use." After all they are nothing more than a collection of body parts.

But how ironic?..

The fact these very same "men" now need women for sex.. apparently feels quite disempowering (particulary since they killed off all the girls..and can't seem to "get some")..which only adds to the anger and resentment these muderers and misogynists feel thus justifying forced prostitution, sexual slavery and lives of endless Hell and torture for thousands of girls and women.

What I'd like to know is: Where are the women and men demanding accountability for these mass murders?
And..when Is Hollywood putting out this movie..and who is the leading role?

On Thursday, March 16, the Senate Judiciary Committee told their staff to meet behind closed doors to construct an immigration bill that would include provisions from the Kennedy-McCain bill. Known as S. 1033, the McCain-Kennedy bill includes an amnesty for illegal aliens, a massive "guest" worker program that leads to citizenship, and an estimated one million additional permanent immigrants each year.

A bill that would give millions of illegal aliens in the United States the opportunity to earn citizenship is closer to becoming law today as members of the Senate Judiciary Committee signaled likely passage of a proposal by Sens. Edward Kenney, D-Mass., and John McCain, R-Ariz.

Though a committee vote will not be held until after a week-long congressional recess, likely March 27, committee members appeared ready to back the Kennedy-McCain bill.

"The votes are there," said Sen. Charles Grassley, R-Iowa.

Congress is working to pass a reform bill that includes enforcement, a policy on dealing with illegals already in the country and a guest-worker program pushed by President Bush.

Under the legislation, illegal aliens in the United States would obtain six-year nonimmigrant visas under which they could work in the country and travel outside the country. The aliens would have to pay a $1,000 fine and undergo background checks.

After six years, the aliens would be able to meet certain requirements and then apply for a green card, or permanent residency.

Besides voting on the bill after the recess, committee Chairman Arlen Specter, R-Pa., said the panel also would vote on a bill by Sens. John Cornyn, R-Texas, and Jon Kyl, R-Ariz., that would give illegal aliens up to five years to leave the U.S. After returning home, they could then apply to return, either as temporary workers or for permanent residency.

"Our intention is not to strand anyone outside the country," Kyl said, according to an AP report. But he asserted the McCain-Kennedy plan would give an illegal alien allowed to stay and work in the country a "huge advantage" over a person having to wait for years in his or her own country for a green card.

The McCain-Kennedy bill would start off with offering 400,000 of the new visas.

Although Sens. McCain and Kennedy adamantly deny that S. 1033 is an amnesty for illegal aliens, it clearly spells out a path to jobs and residency for illegal aliens. Among the significant immigration-increase provisions of the bill are: a new visa category (H-5A) for 400,000 low-skill foreign workers (this cap can be adjusted upwards); a new temporary 6-year visa category (H-5B) for illegal aliens (and their spouses and children) already in the country; an amnesty for illegal aliens who apply for an H-5B visa and pay a $2,000 fine; a provision for the H-5A temporary workers to apply for permanent resident status after four years; and an exemption of immediate relatives (spouses, children, and parents of U.S. citizens) from the annual level of 480,000 family-sponsored immigrant visas thereby providing additional visas to the family preference categories.

Supporters claim S. 1033 contains measures to increase border security, yet it contains virtually no such provisions. Aside from creating a Border Security Committee and requiring a few reports, the main "enforcement" provisions are aimed at helping Mexico control its borders!! S. 1033 does, however, require machine-readable immigration documents, and create a new electronic work authorization system that would eventually replace the current "I-9" system. S. 1033 would require the federal government to reimburse states for the cost of providing emergency health care to H-5A and H-5B workers.

Aside from the fact that any guest worker plan would be nothing more than a disastrous amnesty deal tied with a big red bow for lawbreakers, there is another reason to reject it: Our government can’t handle it!

Our government is not capable of handling roughly 13-20 million temporary worker applications when our illegal alien population suddenly becomes eligible through guest worker legislation - USCIS (U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service) simply cannot handle the administration overload it already has. The only solution would be to massively increase the government. The link above outlines a report from the GAO that shows how the USCIS is already irrevocably buried under a backlog of immigration adjudication. It's a whole other perspective on the various administrative amnesties proposed by the Senate. Mundane? Perhaps. Crucial to the overall scope and size of our bloated and sprawling federal government? Absolutely.

Mus-lim Woman Sparks Debate With 'Apartheid' Remarks

"Malaysia is considered one of the most moderate nations in the Mus-lim world, but the daughter of a former prime minister has sparked a row by comparing discrimination against Mus-lim women in her country with the treatment of black South Africans under apartheid.

As non-Mus-lim women catch up with women in the rest of the world, Mus-lim women here are only going backwards," Marina Mahathir wrote in a newspaper column.

Mahathir, a women's rights and HIV/AIDS campaigner, was referring to new family laws that will make it easier for Muzlim men in Malaysia to take multiple wives and claim property after divorce.

Under Izlamic law (sha-ri'a), Malaysian Muzlim men already are allowed up to four wives. But the new legislation will give them more rights to claim assets after divorcing a wife, to seize property belonging to existing wives, and lessen their obligation to pay maintenance.

Organizations that came out against the proposals were attacked for promoting "western"-style gender equality, and parliament passed the legislation at the end of last year.

In multi-ethnic Malaysia, where Muzlims comprise about 60 percent of the population, the proposed new laws will only apply to Muzlims.

Mahathir wrote that, more than a decade after apartheid had ended in South Africa, an "insidious" form of discrimination was developing in Malaysia, between Muzlim and non-Muzlim women.
The article was due for publication last Wednesday, International Women's Day, but The Star newspaper - for which she has long been a regular columnist - held it because of the controversial content.

Mahathir then published it on the Internet, with a note saying: "For the first time in some 17 years, The Star is refusing to publish my column ... they said that the powers-that-be there think it's too tough on the government and it's not the right platform etc."
The column eventually was published on Friday."

Here we go again:
The ongoing struggle between two irreconcilable value systems, one based on the Enlightenment tradition, the other clinging to religious dogma which it freely imposes upon its citizens, particularly its female ones.
Not only are they political aggressive,-holding publication of the article, but to add insult to injury they are culturally arrogant about it.

Lest we forget, we are dealing with a religion which does not recognize any separation of politics and religion.
This has always been so and in case your'e wondering.. will always be. It is the very nature of the religion.

In their framework of government, Al-ah has all the power...not the "people", not the "courts", not a document written by forefathers. The Qu-r'an, is always taken literally. Those words are considered to be the actual words of their God and can therefore, never be altered. There will be no "amendments"...trust me.

And yet again they promote a restrictive theocratic view of human relations and world politics, trying to silence a remark by a Muzlim woman, because "the powers that be" deem: it sends a wrong message to the world."

And needless to say-THEY always know best. Don't they?

How I Learned to Love the Wall gives us a reaction.....

ON March 28, Israelis will elect a new prime minister to replace the ailing Ariel Sharon. But I'd bet my last shekel that I'll continue to hear the phrase "Ariel Sharon's apartheid wall." It's a phrase spoken — make that spewed — on almost every university campus I visit in North America and Europe.

Among a new generation of Muzlims, this is what Mr. Sharon will be known for long after he leaves office: unilaterally erecting a barrier, most of it a fence, some of it a wall, that cuts Arab villages in half, chokes the movement of ordinary Palestinians, cripples local economies and, ultimately, separates human beings.

The critics have a point — up to a point.

After all, this barrier, although built by Mr. Sharon, was birthed by "shaheeds," suicide bombers whom Palestinian leaders have glorified as martyrs. Qassam missiles can kill two or three people at a time. Suicide bombers lay waste to many more. Since the barrier went up, suicide attacks have plunged, which means innocent Arab lives have been spared along with Jewish ones. Does a concrete effort to save civilian lives justify the hardship posed by this structure? The humanitarian in me bristles, but ultimately answers yes."

Spare me the angst of those who must travel to one of the wider official checkpoints nearby, or those who feel so "humiliated"when they have to show their identity cards.
Hows about ending more than three years of horror and violence perpetrated against innocent civilians in Israel - which have made a wall essential to prevent attacks on its own soil.
Stop the cycle of hell, Make concrete moves to end the bloodshed, dismantle militant groups, instead of concerning yourselves with fences, walls and trenches, which are needed to keep suicide bombers away from Israeli cities.

Implement sustained, targeted, and effective operations aimed at confronting all those engaged in terror and dismantle terrorist capabilities and infrastructure.
Confiscate all illegal weapons. Sound like a plan?

They're worried about separating farmers from their fields?..

What about separating babies from their mothers forever? Wives from husbands?
Separating arms, legs and parts of young men's faces from their bodies permanently?

You want to complain about wallz........Quite honestly, Israel has grown weary over the continued violence, which has claimed thousands of beautiful lives.

Oh, here's an idea : Hmmmm... Instead of conciliatory speeches about the alleged comprehensive ceasefire...Just Do IT

Polygamy Is 'Next Civil Rights Battle,' Activists Say

"Nearly three years after U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum (R-Pa.) argued that a U.S. Supreme Court decision overturning a Texas ban on sodomy would be used to legitimize other sexual practices outside traditional marriage, Santorum's prediction may be coming to pass.

Since the high court issued its 6-3 ruling in June 2003 in the Lawrence v. Texas case, national attention has focused on the issue of same-sex marriage. However, a Christian group claims the ruling guarantees that polygamy -- the union of one man with more than one woman -- is "the next civil rights battle."

The case, Bronson v. Swensen, is slated to be argued before the 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals this year.

While there are presently only a handful of challenges to anti-polygamy laws, that number could increase dramatically. A number of sources estimate that about 50,000 families in the United States practice polygamy, including hundreds of Laotian Hmongs in Minnesota and members of Mormon splinter groups in Arizona and Utah."

Polygamy is also supported in principle by a wide variety of organizations, including the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU)..surprise surprise ...

"If the Supreme Court says that you have the right to consensual gay sex within your home, then you have the right to bigamy, you have the right to polygamy, you have the right to incest, you have the right to adultery," Santorum said. "You have the right to anything," the A.P. quoted Santorum as saying."

Santorum is a leader on the issue of traditional marriage. The senator supports a constitutional amendment protecting marriage as that of a union between a man and woman.

It's been said: Marriages are made in heaven. That speaks to a sentiment about the destiny of relationships, and the Godliness involved in creating "soul mates."

Folk wisdom of nearly all cultures has perennially acknowledged this phenomenon in one way or another. Implicit in the thinking of people who honour this view is the belief that marriage is "sacred."
Marriage has been most auspiciously formalised between man and woman. Choosing a partner and life mate was to be based on more than initial, sexual attraction or some shared interests.

The plethora of customs and traditions surrounding 'marriage' have one common theme: It is the inference that -marriage has a sacred as well as a mundane dimension.
It is a major life transition ritual.

The belief in the sanctity of marriage (between a man and woman)are cornerstones of an entire cosmological view of the world, -the purpose of human life, procreation and ultimately - the universe.
The perennial wisdom implicit in the Bible as well as folklore is to be trusted.
It has always taught us that the sacredness of this union has import that surpasses what societal trends and conventionality "of the moment" would unreasonably dictate.

The floodgates have been opened my friends. Prepare yourselves for Battle.

UN Panel Bashes Israel for Treatment of Palestinian Women

A United Nations body dealing with women's rights has singled out Israel for its treatment of Palestinian women, ignoring other U.N. member states with questionable records on women's rights.
"There was no resolution on Saudi Arabia and the million female migrant workers living in slave-like conditions there," Bayefsky said. Nor was there any mention of Jordan, home to "honor killings," where females are murdered for various transgressions to protect the family's name.

Nothing was said about China, land of forced abortions and sterilizations, Bayefsky said. "Nothing on Mali's appalling record on female genital mutilation. No mention of Palestinian women who volunteer to be suicide bombers in order to kill Jews. And of course, no mention of the Israeli women and girls who are their victims," Bayefsky wrote in comments on her "Eye on the UN" website.

"The Commission on the Status of Women makes it abundantly clear that the victims of the U.N.'s obsession with demonizing the Jewish state go far beyond Israelis. They are the billions of women around the world who cannot garner the attention of this organization because it is otherwise occupied," Bayefsky said.

Israel has long been isolated in the world body. Over the past five decades, more U.N. resolutions have been directed against Israel than any other country. Islamic and Arab states have an automatic majority in the U.N. General Assembly to back anti-Israel resolutions."

OK..lets single out Israel, the only democratic,free and egalitarian society in the Middle East for abuses of women of all things..

No wonder liberals are so fond of the U.N...It pretends to be doing what in fact the United States is REALLY doing: spreading freedom, promoting prosperity tolerance and peace, while it remains useless, venomous and ineffectual at accomplishing....well just about anything actually.

1-Johnny Appleseed-His real name was John Chapman, lived from 1774–1847.He was a Massachusetts-born nurseryman and was reputed to have spread seeds and seedlings out of which grew the apple orchards of the Midwest.
"He did all of the work himself, living alone for weeks at a time with only the Indians and wild animals for companionship. He never carried a gun or weapon of any kind. He was a deeply religious man who lived by the Golden Rule and had no fear of man or beast. Indians accepted him as a friend, and he is reputed to have talked at times to the wild animals who watched him as he worked in his nurseries."

Daniel Boone
4- Daniel Boone lived from 1734–1820. he was a Frontiersman and Indian fighter, about whom legends of early America have been built.

Billy the Kid

5-Billy the Kid whose real name was William H. Bonney lived from 1859–1881. He was a Desperado who killed his first man before he reached his teens; after short life of crime in Wild West was gunned down by Sheriff Pat Garrett; symbol of lawless West.

For all of the murders and countless other offenses committed during the Lincoln County War on both sides, Billy the Kid was the only person ever charged with breaking the law. An incredibly unjust thing, especially considering he was just one of six gunmen in the shooting for which he was charged. This made him a fugitive and he became the leader of a small gang of rustlers that terrorized the county until he was caught in December of 1880. Billy was tried and sentenced to hang.

Billy's escape into legend
Well known throughout New Mexico on the afternoon of April 28, 1881 he catapulted himself into international legend when he escaped from jail. During the jailbreak, he killed a guard that had taunted him constantly about the pains of death by hanging and had dared Billy to try to breakout so he could shoot him. As a testament to how well liked he was in Lincoln, he stayed around for an hour making a speech to the locals and then went around shaking hands. He left town singing on a borrowed horse that he actually returned as he promised he would.

Billy is hunted down
The official record states that 76 days after his escape, Billy the Kid was shot through the heart in a darkened room by lawman Pat Garrett. Life expectancy in the west, due to this lawlessness was short. Many of the men killed in the Lincoln County War had not turned 20 yet. There are many people in Lincoln County that knew Billy the Kid and believe that Billy escaped to Texas."

Paul Bunyan
6-Paul Bunyan who was a Mythical lumberjack and subject of tall tales throughout timber country ..one was that he dug Grand Canyon.
"In the evening when people tell stories the best, the name of Paul Bunyan comes up more than the rest. Folks say he was slightly smaller than a stadium but a lot taller than an ordinary house. When he was a baby it took five storks to deliver him to Mr. and Mrs. Bunyan! Paul grew up big and strong.

Betsy Ross

7- Betsy Ross lived from 1752–1836. She was a Member of the Philadelphia flag-making family, and was reported to have designed and sewn first American flag.

Right of Privacy Bars Prosecution When Sodomy Was Consensual and in Locked Barracks Room

"The U.S. Army Court of Criminal Appeals ruled in an unpublished opinion issued per curiam that a male army private could not be convicted of sodomy, as prohibited by Article 125 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), when he engaged in consensual conduct with a female private in his locked room in his barracks. The court rejected the Army's claim that because the soldier's two roommates also had keys to the room, the soldier's room was not "private."

By its terms, the UCMJ makes sodomy a crime, even if the conduct (oral sex, for example) is consensual, occurs between men and women, or even involves married partners. The ACLU filed amicus briefs in several miliary sodomy cases following the Supreme Court's decision in Lawrence v. Texas , recognizing “an emerging awareness that liberty gives substantial protection to adult persons in deciding how to conduct their private lives in matters pertaining to sex.”

The Army Court of Appeals agreed, noting that the Supreme Court restated, "‘It is a promise of the Constitution that there is a realm of personal liberty which the government may not enter.'" (quoting Planned Parenthood of Southeastern Pa. v. Casey).

The army appellate body concluded, "'The [Supreme] Court held that two adults who engage in private, intimate, consensual, sexual behavior are 'entitled to respect for their private lives. The State cannot demean their existence or control their destiny by making their private sexual conduct a crime. Their right to liberty under the Due Process Clause gives them the full right to engage in their conduct without the intervention of the government.'"

Lawrence involved conduct between two gay men, but the privacy principles of the case apply with equal force to nongay people."

Oh so Lawrence just happened to be homosexual is that it?
Minor, insignificant detail according the ACLU?

Which brings me to the my next point. Some actually join the Military with the wrong motives.
Sometimes they are troubled, unemployed, young men simply seeking to get away from home.

Recruitment slogans sometimes seduce recruits with how much money an enlistee can earn towards his college education.

Not to mention enlistment bonuses, free medical care, commissary and exchange shopping privileges, the retirement program, and the future "veterans preference" which may help one get that government job after retirement.

Oh, and do not underestimate the rush of using powerful weapons.

The "pride and prestige" that comes with the territory. Just the slogans alone can instill a feeling of grandeur.
"The few, the proud, the Marines".

Do not misunderstand me. As someone who has been blessed to work with soldiers returning from Iraq, I have not seen young people who are more patriotic,and loyal Americans.

Some of them live the credo: "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country."

But then along comes : Lawrence v. Texas
a homosexual male army private fighting for his right to engage in sodomy with another male, in his barracks.

Is this request appalling or even shocking to anyone anymore? I daresay not.

Because soldiers carry weapons and are expected to lay down their life for their country, it would be reasonable to expect them to have a fair amount of self-control, would it not?

Unfortunately, the opposite is oftentimes the reality.
One must be able to work through his own past traumas and put them into perspective before he can reasonably be expected to exercise self control. Do you think most young men in the military are capable of this?
Ironically, Military men oftentimes display a lack of control in certain arenas. They are encouraged to engage in excess in many ways, smoking, drinking and sexual promiscuity. On some military installations, soldiers are actually given condoms.
Of course they claime the condoms are meant as a safety measure to prevent against dangerous venereal diseases, but we all the know the underlying message being sent.
Be as promiscuous as you want, just don't get syphilis.

And so another stunning Victory for the ACLU.
At one point in history these homosexual men would have disappeared into deserved oblivion - but thanks to the ACLU, they are our new role-models fighting for Truth, Justice and The American Way.

Men are emotionally removed from their many female, sexual conquests and have no remorse.
Women have been fed a warped concept of exhibitionism as a form of 'power' and have bought into it.
And all along-The media has been guilty of churning in the big bucks by helping reshape societal norms in vastly destructive ways.

And now this feeble..cough cough... attempt...

Television and radio broadcasters using tape-delay to avoid running afoul with the standards..
and limiting the airing of indecent material such as profanity and sexually explicit content during late-night hours when children are "less likely to be in the audience."
Because of course, this is so acceptable to the um ..."grown ups" eh?

When it comes to taking responsibility, I'd give the media the booby prize.

First they ceremoniously toss out all traditional mores and refuse any form of censorship, in the name of 'live and let live tolerance' but now are willing to concede to some of the disturbing social trends they may have actually helped foster?

The media's "no censorship" and "anything goes" attitude over the years has done far more damage than imposing ridiculous fines can ever attempt to mend.

Anyone who hasn't abandoned all moral sense knows the media has a social obligation, - that if we immerse our children in a sewer and cesspool of garbage..we have no one to blame but ourselves for the moral pit they have fallen into.

Fining and tape delays?

Black Families, Black Men takes a courageous look at the Black "family."

"Sounding like a born-again social conservative, president Lyndon B. Johnson stepped to the podium and made this stirring pronouncement: “When the family collapses, it is the children that are usually damaged. When it happens on a massive scale, the community itself is crippled.”

A few months later the Moynihan Report came out. Despite its commonsense focus on strengthening the Black family, civil rights leaders raised a stink that Mr. Moynihan was trying to “blame the victim.” Floyd McKissick, director of the Congress of Racial Equality, insisted, “It’s the damn system that needs changing.”

So the architects of the Great Society not only set out to ignore the formative role of the Black family – they plotted to make things worse.

They instituted programs with men-stay-away names like “Women, Infants, and Children.” They enacted Medicaid in 1965 that imposed eligibility tests slighting non-custodial parents (read “fathers”).

Then the social do-gooders delivered the knock-out blow: the Aid to Families with Dependent Children program. AFDC had its infamous “man-out-of-the-house” rule that withheld benefits if the primary breadwinner (again, read “father”) resided in the house.

Sociologist Andrew Billingsley has traced the historical lifeline of the Black family. In 1890 the number of intact Black families with fathers and mothers at home was 80%. Over the next seven decades through 1960, that figure held remarkably constant.

But once the Great Society programs were put in place, the African-American family went into a tailspin.

When the number-crunchers tallied up the results from the 1970 decennial census, they couldn’t believe their eyes – the number of intact Black families had fallen to 64%.

For the next 20 years two-parent families continued their free-fall, reaching a rock-bottom 38% in 1990. And most of the remaining intact families were concentrated in the Black middle class. In the inner city, the traditional Black family had essentially ceased to exist.

So forced to compete with a government welfare program, poor Black men had suddenly found themselves persona non grata in their own homes. Like an unwelcome houseguest, Uncle Sam had moved in, unpacked his bags, and made himself a surrogate husband.

What two World Wars and the Great Depression were unable to do, the Great Society accomplished in only 25 years.

With the Black family now in shambles, no amount of federal money could fix the problem. In 1965, 21% of all American children under the age of 18 lived in poverty. Thirty years and billions of welfare dollars later, the number of American children living in poverty was – 21%.

Of course the Leftists refuse to admit the obvious failures of the Great Society. And is their habit, they tell the exact opposite of the truth.

Robert Hill of the Urban League once spun this whopper: “Research studies have revealed that many one-parent families are more intact or cohesive than many two-parent families.” Excuse me Mr. Hill, when millions of poor teenage girls are having out-of-wedlock births, how does that fit into your concept of “intact” and “cohesive”?

But there’s a deeper reason for the Leftist cover-up.

Karl Marx argued that economic realities determine social conditions. According to that formulation, if you pump money into a community, social indicators will automatically improve. But the Great Society proved the opposite – squander money on programs that weaken social structures, and life becomes unbearably squalid."

Yes, indeed, the American welfare program was originally designed to assist the "deserving" poor with the necessities of life. It was meant to be doled out in "limited" circumstances, to assist responsible, formerly productive citizens till they got back on their own feet.

It was not meant to replace work, responsibilty or the impetus for marriage.
Illegitimacy has become rampant as the government subsidizes teen age girls who have babies!
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention when this war on poverty program was initiated, less than 8% of Americans were born out of wedlock. The stats are now closer to 35%.
You do the Math.

Enabling poor people to become self sufficient is ultimately healthier and more compassionate in the long run , than continually offering government freebies and insulting "hand-outs".

Some, including Feminist organizations romanticize the "one woman household."
The fact is that the effects of absentee fathers on all- including - black families and black communities are dramatic. With single mothers,either on welfare or working multiple jobs or working while attending college, the children are the ones left to fend for themselves after school. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to deduce that many become involved with drugs and crime.

And what of feelings of abandonment?..Do Liberals not think children have them?
Imagine waiting for the sporadic phone call from dad on Christmas eve when your'e five years old.

Unstable home lives and low self-esteem result from these feelings oftentimes, which contribute to many black children's struggles in school as well.
And what of relationships between young black men and women,where there are no role models? Family disintegration has contributed to escalating disrespect and even animosity between young black men and women.

Look no further than current rap songs and music videos which are notoriously misogynistic and violent toward women. Where did this blatant lack of respect and anger toward women originate?

And if knowing that nearly a third of black males will end up in prison at some point during their lifetime, isn't a wake up call- I don't know what is. Something's not working.

The so called "War on Poverty" has proved to be an abysmal failure.
And whether some wish to admit this or not:
A dad does make a difference.

A Brief Introduction to the History of Names gives us some insights.

"The history of names is so ancient that no one knows the beginning of the story. Since written history began, and as far back as oral history reaches, people have had names. It is therefore impossible to do more than guess at how the earliest given names were chosen. Most names appear to have had some sort of original meaning, usually descriptive, rather than being simply a pleasing collection of sounds."

Descriptive naming practice is exemplified in the Bible, when Rachel names her last son Benoni or "son of my sorrow" and his father Jacob renames him Benjamin "son of the right hand" (Genesis 35:18).

"With the rise of Christianity, certain trends in naming practices manifested. Christians were encouraged to name their children after saints and martyrs of the church. The oldest of these names were Jewish and GrecoRoman names. The names of the apostles and other prominent early Christians mentioned in the New Testament were often Jewish, such as Mary, Martha, Matthew, James, Joseph and John."

Surnames developed from bynames, which are additional identifiers used to distinguish two people with the same given name. These bynames tend to fall into particular patterns. These usually started out as specific to a person and became inherited from father to son between the twelfth and sixteenth century.

Some of the specific types are: the patronymic (referring to the father or mother), a locative or toponymic (indicating where a person is from), an epithet (which describes a person in some way) or a name derived from occupation, office or status. Most cultures use surnames developed from one or more of these types of bynames.

Patronymics are common in almost all European cultures. These are usually formations that mean "x son of y" or "x daughter of y". The parent indicated is usually the father, but the mother's name may also occur in some cases. Patronymics were formed in various ways in English; Johnson, Richards and Henry are representative. Johnson shows the full development; it obviously means son of John or John's son. The "son" could also be understood, by the position in the name, so Richard's son Martin might be called Martin Richards instead of Martin Richardson.
In Scotland and Ireland the typical patronymic form was mac X, yield names such as MacAndrew, MacDougall, MacGregor and MacLeod.

Locative and toponymic bynames are another common form of byname. Locatives are very typical of the aristocracy in England and France. A locative byname indicates that you are from some named place. Typical forms in Old and Middle English are: aet x, atte x, de x, of x. For example æt Lintone, atte Homwode, de London, de Ebor.

Epithets are bynames that refer to some personal characteristic of the bearer. In the Middle Ages, a person acquired this from friends and acquaintances. An appellation of this sort can be complimentary, uncomplimentary or simply descriptive. Nicknames can take various forms: descriptive of physical characteristics of some kind like Blakloc, the Small, Armstrong or Grenehod, or descriptive of character or mental or moral characteristics, such as Wastepenny, Slyman, Careless, Bonfaith. Sometimes a nickname can be metaphoric (i.e. "John is like a ") yielding names like "Peppercorn" for a small person and "Fairweather" for a cheerful, sunny person.

Occupational names are often the most obvious in origin. Baker, Brewer, Weaver, Taylor and Smith are fairly obvious in meaning. Some of these occupational bynames also have feminine versions which became hereditary surnames. For example, the feminine of Baker is Baxter, the feminine of Brewer is Brewster and the feminine of Weaver is Webster.

Domestic violence in Islam poses several questions.

Does the Ko-ran permit husbands to hit their wives, or not?

"4:34 Husbands should take full care of their wives, with [the bounties] God has given to some more than others and with what they spend out of their own money. Righteous wives are devout and guard what God would have them guard in the husbands’ absence. If you fear high-handedness from your wives, remind them [of the teaching of God], then ignore them when you go to bed, then hit them. If they obey you, you have no right to act against them. God is most high and great.

4:34 ... As to those women on whose part ye fear disloyalty and ill-conduct, admonish them (first), (next), refuse to share their beds, (and last) beat them (lightly) ...

The early traditions confirm that hitting wives actually happened and was sanctioned in Mu-hammad’s day and in his community. Domestic violence runs deeply and early in Is-lam..

All in all, the earliest traditions, representing others, allow husbands to hit their wives, so the difficulties in Sura 4:34 have an additional historical context and cannot be explained away from that standpoint. Domestic violence sits at the heart of Is-lam, not at its periphery.

However, if Mus-lims are reluctant to reform or to deny passages in the Qu-ran, they must avoid a dubious approach to uninformed Westerners: they must never soft-sell or whitewash domestic violence and other violence in the origins and core of their religion, some of which, like jihad, Mu-hammad himself engaged in – not in the periphery of their religion.."

How bout we jus say men (predominantly) hitting, beating, raping, pushing, shoving, molesting, sexually and physically torturing women and children...
Yes. That's more like it.
This should not happen to anybody. Ever. Period.

For those who wish some claification:
Examples of abusive behavior include: name-calling or putdowns,stalking , intimidation oftentimes keeping a partner from contacting their family or friends, withholding money and stopping a partner from getting or keeping a job, threatened or actual physical harm ,and sexual assault.

This is in fact a reality in the Muzlim community and condoned by the "teachings"...Evasions, denials, and defensiveness, entirely miss the point and simply do not suffice.

Domestic Violence states the following:There is a problem with posting such info for sisters here in the states. When sisters are fleeing from an abusive husband, the perpetrating husband will make efforts to continue his violence upon her and her children, and try to follow them. If he finds out where she is, then not only is her life in danger, but also the lives of the other battered women who are seeking shelter and time to recover from their experiences. I can't speak for other places, but here in the USA batterers take care of each other and if one were to become aware of the location of such places, he would "spread the news.."

There are numerous brave women's sites offering Muzlim women assistance and fearfully acknowledging the horrific problem.

We do know one thing for certain: Violence against women is a result of men's anger. It is a man's way of avoiding his own sense of inadequacy.

We know another thing: It is learned behavior.

So, I ask you my friends...- What do these Muzlim men feel so inadequate about...and where are they "learning" this behavior?

Illegal Aliens March On Chicago

"Si, se puede!" was the cry of the crowd in Chicago today -- "Yes, we can!" Thousands upon thousands of illegal aliens and their supporters gathered in Union Park, then marched down Jackson Street to The Loop. Jamming the plaza, as well as the surrounding streets and sidewalks, they rallied to cheer on those who had come to speak.

They demanded legalization for all immigrants. They patted each other on the back for working hard and having dreams. They lauded politicians who devote themselves to representing "the people," which evidently, in their minds, includes "the people" who have come here illegally and don't get to vote. They demanded justice. They jeered HR4437, the House bill passed last December that would make coming here illegally a criminal offense, rather than a civil one, that calls for a fence on the border, and that would penalize anyone who hires and/or helps someone to come or stay here illegally.

Mayor Daley even got up to add his support, which made no sense:

"Don't let anyone tell you you're an immigrant," he shouted. "We're all immigrants!"

???

"Si, se puede!" Yes we can WHAT, one wonders?

Yes we can...make demands of the government, even though we're here illegally? Yes we can...break your laws then demand to not only not be penalized, but to be rewarded for it? Yes we can...take taxpayer-funded services like education and healthcare, and in exchange we'll drive down wages and refuse to assimilate? Yes we can...shout loud enough about our civil rights that the politicians will forget that civil rights are, by definition, for citizens?

Watching these people flood the streets of Chicago today, shouting angrily for what is not theirs to ask, let alone demand, I listened. Amid the shouts of "Si, se puede!" and among the signs and banners calling for legalization and guest worker programs, I listened.

I listened for an answer from within myself and found that, walking along with these thousands of people cheering and yelling and demanding, my answer hadn't changed.

No, you can't.

Vignettes From The Reconquista

I noticed this lady was crying so I asked permission to snap a photo and then asked why she was crying. She informed me that she had been working with "these folks" for a number of years and she wanted them to feel at home here.

Let me start by saying this was a very nice lady, she truly was. I'm sure those who know her would say she has an enormous heart.

But she's an idiot and indicative of a phenomena I noticed along the marches path. Upper crust white women lined the path and had a look on their faces I can only describe as a mother watching her child. It was a species of pride that galled my soul.

It was almost unbelievably arrogant, but arrogance cloaked in compassion. And this type of empty headed compassion is killing this country. We can't allow every person on the planet to enter so where do we draw the line?

While attending the illegal immigrant reconquista march today I made a point of stopping every so often and chatting with observers.

Which leads us inexorably to our second vignette. I came upon a bank where most of employees had gathered on a raised brick planter to watch the march pass by. A gentleman in his mid-thirties stood nearest the end where I hopped up to join him.

I asked him his thoughts on the march. He replied that he thought it was great, that these people definitely deserved to hold a march like this. He was waxing quite eloquent when he uttered an oopsie. He went on to say that we should welcome everybody.

I queried, somewhat astonished, everyone on the planet? It was fascinating to me to watch his facial expressions cycle through surprise to astonishment. I honestly don't think he'd ever thought it through before, that we can't welcome every person on the planet no matter how much the president might want to. My interviewee had just bumped nose first into a hard reality. I noticed over and over how many people merely recited cant whenever you asked them questions about immigration, nation of immigrants, immigration has always been good, etc., etc., etc.

Yet if you followed up and began asking hard questions such as "well, should we just allow a couple of billion people to move here then?" Their eyes would get big and they'd stammer for a bit before saying no. I'd ask, so where do you draw the line? They never had a cogent answer.

I think that really sums up the public debate on immigration in America today. We want to be a nation of immigrants, yet realize this may no longer be possible as it was in the past.

A young black gentlemen provided a slightly different take. When I asked him his thoughts on the march he at first tried to avoid answering but I kept at it and finally he allowed that he thought it was a good thing. Again, that they should be allowed to march, then he uttered his own oopsie. He said he thought they should be allowed to march because they came from a poor country. When I pointed out that in terms of the whole world Mexico was actually a fairly rich country with a decent standard of living compared to many countries he was literally dumbstruck.

If today's march taught me anything it was just this. In terms of the average Jane and Joe American, the two biggest enemies proponents of sane immigration policies face are rank ignorance and romantic notions.

Immigration: An Ending And A Beginning

We've been posting about the march and rally supporting ILLEGAL immigration in Chicago today. I've really been thinking about a feeling I had as we were fighting our way out of the crowd of 100,000+. We spent about 40 minutes pushing through half a city block of the throng to make our way to public transportation.

As we finally made it through the shouting, chanting horde, we turned the corner to walk past Berghoff, which sadly shut its doors at the end of last month. For those not familiar with Chicago, Berghoff was a traditional, family-run German restaurant, an institution famous for holding the first liquor license issued by the city after Prohibition ended.

Gazing into the darkened windows of the restaurant, I felt a real sense of something ending and something beginning. Many who disagree with me on the need to fight ILLEGAL immigration often bring up our country's history of immigration and diversity, as if I am somehow maligning them by speaking out against ILLEGAL immigration.

One of the things I love most about Chicago, my favorite city and current home, is the great diversity of its residents and neighborhoods. Berghoff embodied how immigration is supposed to work in my mind. It honored the traditions of its owners' cultural history while celebrating the opportunities and freedoms of America.

That is what I did not see much of in the crowd today, and certainly did not hear from the speakers who egged them on to demand legalization and denounce HR4437. As I listened to Gutierrez and Daley and Blagojevich, I did not hear an enticement to become Americans in any real sense.

What I heard was a call to demand rights and opportunities that have to be earned. These are precious gifts bestowed upon those who are born here, and those who come here legally. They are most certainly not something to be unrightfully demanded or stolen by those who would disrespect this country and its citizens by those who choose to come, stay, and work here ILLEGALLY.

What I saw today was a defiant mission to impose a mass of people, their culture, and their language on another country. There were many claims of loving America, but talk is cheap. It is your actions that truly speak. If anyone loves this country, they will show it by their efforts to make it a better place. Since when do lawlessness, a constant breech of national security, and economic and cultural destruction make this a better place?

I love this country. I embrace and appreciate our melting pot of cultures and traditions. But our country only works when our country and its citizens come first. I would never ask another nation to put the interests of America before their own -- it's ridiculous!

It makes me angry and sad when people come here ILLEGALLY and demand that of America.

Court upholds "Bong Hits 4 Jesus" banner

SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - An Alaska high school violated a student's free speech rights by suspending him after he unfurled a banner reading "Bong Hits 4 Jesus" across the street from the school, a federal court ruled on Friday.

Joseph Frederick, a student at Juneau-Douglas High School in Alaska, displayed the banner -- which refers to smoking marijuana -- in January 2002 to try to get on television as the Olympic torch relay was passing the school.

Principal Deborah Morse seized the banner and suspended the 18-year-old for 10 days, saying he had undermined the school's educational mission and anti-drug stance.

Friday's ruling by the U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco overturned a decision by a federal court in Alaska that backed Frederick's suspension and said his rights were not violated.

The appeals court said the banner was protected speech because it did not disrupt school activity and was displayed off school grounds during a non-curricular activity.

"Public schools are instrumentalities of government, and government is not entitled to suppress speech that undermines whatever missions it defines for itself," Judge Andrew Kleinfeld wrote in the court's opinion.

The court also cleared the way for Frederick to seek damages, saying Morse was aware of relevant case law and should have known her actions violated his rights."

Uranus has been visited by only one spacecraft, Voyager 2 on Jan 24 1986. Its atmosphere is about 83% hydrogen, 15% helium and 2% methane. Like the other gas planets, Uranus has rings. Like Jupiter's, they are very dark but like Saturn's they are composed of fairly large particles ranging up to 10 meters in diameter in addition to fine dust. There are 11 known rings, all very faint.."

Uranus is sometimes just barely visible with the unaided eye on a very clear night; it is fairly easy to spot with binoculars (if you know exactly where to look).

Woman Fined, Cited For Applying Makeup While Driving

"North Wales, England...a British woman is in trouble after she was videotaped with a compact in one hand and a brush or pencil in the other hand while driving on a hazardous road in North Wales.

A top North-Wales police official says he "can't imagine a more dangerous act than to be driving along the road, take your hands off the wheel and to put makeup on."

The 22-year-old was fined about $340 and given six points on her driver's license."

"Dumbest" Criminal Jailed Heh.

A man dubbed the dumbest criminal in one country has been jailed for a host of blunders.

"Edinburgh, Scotland -- The Scotsman reports that David Mc-Gregor was sentenced to 28 months after admitting a list of offenses which included assault, fraud, attempted theft and breaching community service.

"Among his less successful exploits was failing to conceal a weapon when, following a confrontation at a pub, an axe fell from where it was hidden up his sleeve. Regulars were able to identify Mc-Gregor since the incident happened at his local pub."

Got anythin up ya sleeve buddy?..Ooops ..forgot the dang axe?..lolz

On another occasion he successfully passed off a fake 10-pound note at a Co-op store, but was caught after he was heard saying "I got a result" as he left the shop, where he was a regular customer and staff knew his name.

He once tried to use a stolen bank card to buy 400 cigarettes and get 50 pounds cashback a local food and clothing superstore. Staff were suspicious because the card was in a woman's name.

An attempt at drug-dealing would have gone unnoticed too, but he was arrested for another offence and happened to have 130 diazepam in his pocket. Mc-Gregor was also found to have stolen Marks & Spencer vouchers when police attempted to arrest him on another charge.

Mc-Gregor,34,..earned the title of the country's dumbest criminal in 2002 when his attempt to cover up a jewel robbery from a house in the city was discovered by X-ray.

The householder arrived back to find the heroin addict in an upstairs bedroom and watched him swallow three diamond rings.

Mc-Gregor tried to make his escape out of the window, but slipped on the icy ledge and tumbled awkwardly to the ground below. He was arrested a short time later but denied he had the rings. However, when he was X-rayed at Perth Royal Infirmary, it was clear exactly where the rings were.

After hearing Mc-Gregor's latest list of crimes, bringing his total to 85 convictions, Sheriff Michael Fletcher said yesterday that he had no option but to jail him."

Raise Children for Jihad, Hamas Lawmaker Tells Palestinian Mothers

"Jerusalem (CNSNews.com) - A newly elected Hamas legislator is encouraging Palestinian mothers to prepare their children for jihad (holy war).

Known as the "mother of martyrs," Farhat recently said there are no innocent Israeli civilians and therefore there is no prohibition against killing them.

Farhat's son Muhammad was the first to carry out a terror attack when he infiltrated the Gaza Strip settlement of Atzmona in March 2002.

Muhammad killed five Israeli teenagers and wounded 20 others when he opened fire with an automatic weapon and threw grenades before Israeli soldiers killed him.

Farhat said goodbye to Muhammed in a homemade video and later said she wished she had 100 sons to send as "martyrs." Nidal, her oldest son, was killed in 2003 while preparing an attack; and Rawad was killed in an Israeli targeted strike in 2005.

Another son, 32-year-old Wisam, spent 10 years in an Israeli prison and was recently released."

Motherhood.

Purim, Judaism's most dramatic, fun-filled dress up holiday where children and adults alike don costumes is celebrated this Tuesday with festivity and rejoicing, sharing and sending food to friends (I hear where there's Jews, there's food ..heh), and giving gifts to the poor.

A biblical scroll known as the "Megillah" is read in all synagogues recounting how a seemingly unrelated series of events spun together to save the Jewish people from annihilation.

Oldies But FakerS?

Anybody out there remember them?..HeH.

"HOW CAN THIS happen in America? If I plunk down my hard-earned entertainment dollars to see a group called the Coasters, it's got to at least have something to do with the Coasters, right? Somebody has to have had some connection to "Yakety Yak," "Charlie Brown," "Poison Ivy" and the other classic hits that made the Coasters the first group to be inducted into the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame, right?

Not necessarily. In fact, Carl Gardner, who sang virtually every Coasters lead and is the holder of the federally registered trademark of the name, has spent years trying to shut down shows by Coasters impostor groups. But even with the trademark as a weapon, his task has proved nearly impossible. He is more than entitled to quote Charlie Brown and ask, "Why's everybody always pickin' on me?"

"Impostor groups are everywhere. In a sophisticated form of identity theft, they perform across the country at theaters, festivals and fairs. Often they perform on the same oldies bill as one another, duping consumers and stealing the remuneration and applause due the real pioneers of rock 'n' roll....

It's done cleverly. There's usually at least one really old guy in the phony group, so that you
can sit out in the audience and say: "That must be the 'real one.' "

"I have been told by several musicians who back up these impostor shows that they've seen instances when one of the phony groups didn't make it to the gig. So some of the fake "Coasters" who'd just performed changed out of the red spangly suits into the blue spangly suits and reemerged as the "Drifters"! You got a problem with that?"

Hmmmmmmm...Well yes Bowzer, I do. One of the definitions of "imitation" is "not genuine or real",copying (or trying to copy) the actions of someone else.
In all forms of Art, theft is nothing new. Roman sculptors used to produce copies of Greek sculptures. Actually before art became a commercial market, copying a work of a master was considered a tribute, not forgery.

Many painters such as Rembrandt had apprentices that studied painting techniques by copying the works and style of the master. As a payment for the training, the master had a right to sell these works for money. And as it turns out some of these apprentices' works have on occasion even been erroneously attributed to the masters!

But what constitutes 'stealing',as opposed to flattering imitation- is when someone intentionally tries to pass something off as genuine even if they are truly not.

The new, young "oldie' singers can either be proficient singers who simply love the doo-wop sound or perhaps struggling artists trying to break into the music industry ,eventually resorting to this form of imitation.

I daresay there are some fans who just want to hear live music reminiscent of that oldie style, and care not about authenticity as long as it can pass for the real thing.

"Bowzer" is working with the Vocal Group Hall of Fame on a bill to solve this problem in perpetuity. "Legislation has passed in Pennsylvania and is being considered in 12 other states; we're introducing it in California soon. It requires that an authentic member of the "recording group" appear in the "performing group," unless the performing group owns a legitimate federally registered trademark to the name."

Sounds fair enough.
In the mean time all you struggling artists..heed the words of Judy Garland:
"Always be a first-rate version of yourself, instead of a second-rate version of somebody else."

In other words:

Don't imitate -- innovate!

Colonisation of Palestine precludes peace

Here's an excerpt if you can stomach it...

Do we really need to rehash the history lesson yet again?

The people who today conveniently call themselves "Palestinians" are the Arabs who were born in that region at the time of the British mandate onward.
The Arab presence there dates from the 7th century A.D. when the region was conquered um...by the Muzzlims.....from the Christian Byzantine empire and remained under Arab Izlamic rule except for a period during the Crusades(1095-1291) when the Latin Christians attempted to re-conquer the Christian holy places back from the Muzlims.

In the 16th century the Turks (non Arabic Muzlims)conquered the region. Lots of conquering goin on by the Muzlims ...The population remained predominantly Arab Muzlim with Jewish and Christian minorities.
The British mandate (y'all know what that is dontcha?)and Zionism, enabled Jews from Europe (and later those being systematically exterminated by the Nazis)..to begin buying land and immigrating there in large numbers.
From the 1960's onwards the Arabs who either had lived in the area before 1948, or still lived in the region refered to themselves as "Palestinians."

The Arabs from the region could have had a state in 1948 since the UN proposed dividing up Palestine into two countries one Arab and one Jewish. They refused and instead invaded Israel.

Oh Joy!...forgot that lil tidbit Carter?

A second opportunity was in 1967 after the six day war when Israel signalled its willingness to negotiate land for peace. The response of the Arab league was the Khartoum resolution which stated basically-"no recognition of Israel, no peace with Israel, and no negotiations with Israel.
Well thats about as subtle as a bazooka.

Oh lookie yet another oppurtunity for the A-rabs...

In the year 2000 during the Camp David negotiations- Dennis Ross who was the chief American negotiatator at Camp David states that the Palestinians were offered 97% of the West Bank by Israel and Arafat just walked away.
Hmmmmmmmmm...........

And along comes Carter... deliberately and consciously propagated anti semitism and an anti-Israel posture.
Well guess what Carter, or should we just call you by yer term of endearment-..self-hating, American apologist, anti semite?
It's a tad harder to get away with bold faced lies these days buddy. You will have to face the relentless, feverish scrutiny by a lot of people who "have simply had it" with the likes of you.

Iran's Religious Fundamentalism Allegedly Victimizes Women

(CNSNews.com) - Demanding freedom for women and political prisoners, protesters in Iran gathered Wednesday to celebrate International Women's Day, only to be beaten by police. According to one of the organizers in Tehran -- Mehri Amiri of the Society for Defense of Women's Rights in Iran -- about 2,000 protesters gathered in Laleh Park, but were immediately attacked.

"On this day, in different countries of the world, they give presents to women, congratulate them and commemorate this day of national celebration. They heed women for their increasing activities and steadfastness," said a statement from the Women's Rights Association of Iran.

"Contrary to this point of view of the civilized world, sits our imprisoned country."

"International Women's Day was first commemorated in 1911. It is promoted by the United Nations to "celebrate economic, social, cultural and political achievements for women."

We have reached a level where women on the streets are being killed," Amiri said.
She argued that other countries should isolate Iran because the money the Iranian government earns from petroleum is spent on weapons. "What we are asking from the world is to stop appeasing the Iranian government. The government must completely go away and the regime must be changed."

This is a people and a leader led by irrational hysteria. Appeasement would in part rely on informed reason, which they are clearly incapable of. This is not merely about political squabbling,- it is about looking hard into the dark places of a "culture" which murders its innocent women in cold blood in the streets.

My colleagues, many of them young enough to be my offspring, gave me puzzled, bemused looks..."

I empathize, trust me.

Theoretically, Feminism is the theory that men and women should be equal politically, economically and socially.
But things are not always as "theoretical" in Life as we wish them to be.

The Feminist movement,in its inception offered enticing,promises to women. "I am Woman, Hear me Roar"."Women are the same as Men..and can Therefore "have it all"!

Pursuits, which emphasized self-sufficiency, individualism, and being in the Workplace were supposed to enhance a woman's "quality of life",revolutionize her otherwise drab and mundance existence as a "homemaker' formerly known as a "housewife and mother."

By the same token,it was argued that some people aren't cut out physically to be a fire fighter, serve in combat, or be construction workers. But some are physically capable. Gender should not even come into play as the jobs should be open to all people .Those men and women who are physically capable and want to, should have every right to pursue such jobs. Again no note of psychological constitution, as this is considered completely irrelevant.

Men and women were brainwashed that aside from some inconsequential, culturally exaggerated, biological differences, - men and women are fundamentally the same. This has of course encouraged the culture of promiscuity, which may not stigmatize men but serves to notoriously degrade and demean women.

For starters,when it comes to the ahem..."liberation" of the workplace, women have discovered that in fact they do not have an inexhaustible supply of physical and emotional energy that enable them to juggle a career, family, friendships and life! Child rearing and homemaking were exclusive roles for a reason. They are full time, exhausting roles. The added burden that many women feel of "having" to work in order to be valued..or even the ones working for the intellectual, financial and emotional fulfillment experience tremendous stress.

And what is the politically Incorrect nasty little Truth about women and their sexual lives that make them so different than men?..
The truth is that women can't separate sex from love in the manner that men can.
That's right I said it.

If they tell you they can they are lying to themselves as well as to you.

For women, sex needs to be an expression of love and some form of commitment. Always. Not sometimes.

Women "offer" their bodies, but along with that..they unconsiously offer a part of their souls.

A man frequenting a restaurant with scantily-clad women?..(who unknowingly exploit the most precious parts of their womanhood)..is in collusion and taking something from that woman she should have been taught not to "sell" and he should have been taught,- "not to take".

Men and women were both endowed with unique God-given strengths. If channelled properly they can both bring glory to God and the World, not to mention- boundless joy and fulfillment to one another.

What's good for the 'goose' is most certainly not good for the 'gander', which is why the Good Lord made both to begin with.

Needless to say I could use mah earache az an excuse but truth be told..I'm just sooooooooo out of it!

Judges, Lawyers, and the ACLU - Enemies of the People

Have you ever noticed that every nutty idea that the ACLU sues over comes out of San Francisco, New York, Boston, or Chicago? Think about it seriously for a few minutes. None of these ignorant press releases about national policy ever originate in say Rapid City, SD or Kansas City, MO. And why is that? It is because all the brain dead lawyers in this nation gather like rats in the least pleasant locations in the nation.
Where the riff-raff are, the ACLU will be there to defend them. Deny it if you wish but you if you do you are living in the land of denial. The ACLU is nothing more than Ambulance Chasers with cause. And their cause is to take cases which will place national and local policies designed to defend morality and shred them in their precious cause of civil rights.

They don't give a flying fart about civil liberties. That is just their cover story. Their what you ask? Their cover story, every Communist Front Organization has to have one. Their goal is to destroy anything which is American. To remove all barriers to free-will and create chaos. What this does is give the self appointed Kings By Committee the opportunity to step in and establish limitations.

We are being groomed. Groomed to accept judicial review as the law establishing authority. It started with Roe v Wade where the Supreme Court stepped out of it's judicial review mode and decided that they could dictate and establish law. And we let them get away with that. Now the Congress passes their laws to withstand judicial review rather than with the authority of the will of the people. More grooming. Next phase for those who are grooming us is to remove the relevance of Congress altogether.

Once that is established, all laws restricting personal freedoms will be dissolved. Then the self appointed Kings By Committee will be in that position to dictate their morality and establish their law. And a Communist State will be born at last.

So what does this have to do with the ACLU you ask? Because the expansion of judicial power in this nation has come about with their prompting. They filed the amicus brief in Roe. They are suing to release classified material via the Freedom of Information Act thereby tipping off our adversaries to our methods of tracking and finding them. They have advocated the elimination of laws against possession of child pornography. They have represented terrorists who have engaged US forces in violation of the rules of War. They have represented clients whose goals has been to remove religion from public life. They have represented pornographers in their quest for allowing the public sale of more and more explicit material. They have represented murderers who have committed their crimes knowing the crime is punishable by death and claimed that capital punishment is cruel and unusual. They claim to be defenders of the Bill of Rights but consistently have been willing to allow the 2nd, 9th, and 10th Amendments to be trampled on so that a liberal "interpretation" of the 14th Amendment could be applied.

That is another thing that bugs me. The ACLU and others insist on have some sort of "interpretation" of the Constitution. Why? It's written in English YOU MORONS! But I bet it would be easier for the ACLU to truly understand the intent of the founding fathers if it were written in Russian instead.

I am completely convinced that somewhere there is a legal document that states, "20 - 25 times per minute you will take air into your lungs and expel it. Failure to do so will result in a penalty of death." But somewhere there is a lawyer trying to discredit this document in federal court. This is an ACLU lawyer.

Sometime in the last 100 years or so, we have become slaves. We are now slaves to the lawyers. Every decision made must have a legal consideration. We must consult the lawyers or we cannot proceed. Congress can't pass a piece of legislation until after some committee does a study to see if the legislation will survive judicial review. We are slaves to those who argue cases and review them. We are slaves to those who have the need to put the letters Esq. after their names. And once they are clothed in black garments, we then turn over all of our decision making to their care.

The time is here people. It has already happened. And it was an organization of lawyers which started us down that path. And we let them. So what are you going to do about it?

Macho, Macho Military has a unique slant on our "militaristic rituals:"

They had already been tracking the militarization of American daily life--from Super Bowl bomber flyovers to yellow ribbons on family cars--and its intimate connections to the cult of masculinity that has recently tightened its grip on American politics."

"Gender-coded militaristic rituals are now so integrated into the culture, they're nearly invisible--which is why they're so important to re-examine. Take those flyovers. What's fun about sending an ominous V-winged vehicle of death and destruction over a Sunday afternoon football game? It takes coordination between the NFL and the Pentagon to plan a flyover. Is sending a black bomber racing across the sky supposed to confirm players' and fans' manliness? Is the pageant also designed to prove the patriotic bona fides of players, owners, fans and the networks? If so, then the NFL and the Pentagon are in collusion to militarize masculinity and to masculinize militarism."

Hmmmm...To my mind's eye "masculinize militarism" is redundant. Everything about the Military oozes masculinity.

Bomb flyovers may be one way to try to recuperate the militaristic ideal of masculinity from the battering it is constantly receiving from Feminists as well as the Anti-war movements. But I highly doubt that.

Heroic masculinity will always have a place and a reason for being: defending civilization.
Courage, manhood, camaraderie all help a man maintain the discipline and obedience necessary for training as well as the battlefield. Not to mention that the male psyche most readily lends itself to pursuit, confrontation and I daresay..heroism.

And meaning no disrespect to women in the military..Nature dictates that women be the more gentle.
That they are strong of character and can be of equal intelligence we have no doubt.
But submitting to the scorching heat of battle,exposing themselves to the most horrible perils, throwing a gauntlet down ,and becoming fearless warriors is in defiance of all contrary feminine instincts for nuturing, sensitivity, emotional expression,and the need for relatedness.

And while the "PC" police refuse to acknowledge the innate differences between men and women , here are some studies.
Masculine vs Feminine Traits

"Males generally: Are stronger and faster;they often lack insight about themselves and are less responsive to emotional feelings.
Females generally: Are more social & empathetic; they are often more self-critical about their work and have more home-life expectations."

"Some individual are clearly masculine or feminine in keeping with their anatomical gender. Others are more androgynous meaning that they have a balance of both masculine and feminine traits. There are definite advantages for women who can demonstrate some masculine traits (when needed, e.g. at work) and for men who can exhibit more feminine traits, such as self-disclosure, personal insight, empathy, nurturance and social communication skills."

But to imply that there is a silent conspiracy to "masculinize" anything(other than women!)..is...not even worthy of rebuttal. Men, if anything, are being forcefully "feminized". Body hair is removed; men must have hug fests or risk being accused of being emotionally sterile, earrings are commonplace, and occasional tears are a must.
And while nobody is mourning the end of the reign of the macho Marlboro man, the true virtue of masculinity is long gone if today's popular culture is any indicator.

Protecting,.. Defending,...
Is this not what we expect men to do?
Correct me if I'm wrong on this one but.......Is this not the very essence of a soldier?

There seems to be quite a bit of disappointment going on at the ACLU lately. They are upset that Federally funded colleges have to accept Military recruiters on their campus. They are saddened that South Dakota is taking a stand to protect unborn children. They are upset that the Patriot Act was renewed. And we are sure they will soon have a press release expressing their concerns that the Intelligence Commitee will not be investigating the Bush Administration over the NSA program.

Its been a bad couple of days for the ACLU folks, and we couldn’t be happier.

French Jewish leaders slam weekend assaults on three Jews

"PARIS - French Jewish leaders denounced Monday as anti-Semitic three weekend attacks in the rough suburbs around Paris where the torture and murder of a young Jew last month caused outrage."

This is referring to attacks in which three young Jews were beaten up and insulted, in what seems to be the latest "trend" in France. And no one raises an eyebrow..

"Police said attackers broke the nose of a rabbi's son and stole a mobile phone from his friend in the first attack on Friday evening. On Saturday evening, another Jew suffered a dislocated shoulder when four youths assaulted him...

"Youths"?...Just what kind of Youths eh?

France has Europe's largest Jewish and Muzlim minorities and relations between the 600,000-strong Jewish community and the country's five million Muzlims have been strained since the outbreak of the intifada."

Five million versus 600,000. One group who seem to have a penchant for unbridled hostility and a steady diet of torturing those who don't ascribe to their beliefs..

But it has been my understanding that.......
The ability to decide what is good and what is evil, is the function of a certain type of moral "understanding." The better and deeper the understanding, the greater the ability to recognize right from wrong. So, in a sense wisdom can be defined as the ability to distinguish good from evil. And ultimately -This is what we rely on for the survival of a culture.

Naturally distinguishing good from evil is crucial for any community which is why religion has historically been the foundation of our communites. It was religious leaders' obligation to help guide its citizens as to which behaviours were good,or virtuous, and which were sinful,or evil.

If a given society continues to uphold and refine its manners, customs, and ethical traditions, it is extending its ability to distinguish good from evil, and ascending.
If, however, a society abandons its customs, rituals, manners and moral traditions it is not only losing wisdom and facing moral depravity,- it is actually embracing evil.

And now yet another taboo fractured. Another mile marker of the popular culture -the celebration of decadence and immorality.
What do you reckon is the sequel?...Two brothers married to their twin sisters?
After all ..who's to say "incest' is evil?

Protests?..Outcry from the public? Boycotts for HBO?..None.
A clear indicator of public temperature, no doubt.

Culture must have its ultimate aim in the metaphysical or it will cease to be culture.

Christopher Reeve's Widow Dies at Age 44

"..Dana Reeve, who won worldwide admiration for her devotion to her "Superman" husband, Christopher Reeve, through his decade of near-total paralysis, has died of lung cancer at the age of 44.Christopher Reeve, star of Hollywood's "Superman" movies, became an activist for spinal cord research after a horse-riding accident paralyzed him in 1995. He died Oct. 10, 2004.

Dana Reeve was a constant companion and supporter of her husband during his long ordeal and his work for a cure for spinal cord injuries."

Whether we wish to admit this or not emotions do rule our lives. Being "overly" emotional or having a marked lack of emotions are both unhealthy.

But remember...Every emotion has a front and a back. Take love for example. Self-love can be healthy and even healing, if it translates into positive and productive action.
An excess of it can however border on narcissism.
This type of self preoccupation can distort the tone of any criticism, lending it a decidedly negative tone. It could evoke feelings of resentment, anger, self-pity, and even self-hatred..the polar opposite of its origin.

Self pity is one emotion that Christopher and Dana Reeve would not abide.
Think about the times you allow yourself the "luxury" of wallowing in great sadness, nit-picking everything that seems to go wrong in your Life.. and drowning yourself in sorrow, oftentimes over trivial, non-life threatening events.
It's easy to feel victimized, not to mention the added 'bonus' of accruing as much attention as possible.

True - Life can afford us some serious heartache.
Dana and Christopher seemed to have a "picture perfect" life till that fateful day in 1995.
For all intents and purposes Christopher lost the use of his body. The subsequent tests, procedures and surgeries and the interim periods of convalescence...must have seemed endless.
And yet they both exhibited a form of courage that was nothing short of inspirational. They retained their lively sense of humour and availed every opportunity to help others with spinal-cord paralysis.

When problems or even perhaps tragedy or trauma strikes, it is not time to call forth self-pity, but rather the inner reserves of strength you most likely never even knew you had.

When faced with a challenge, always act. and always ask: What am I going to DO about it?" "What's next?"
Let your imagination be your coach.

If you truly want to honor Dana and Christopher Reeve.....in the words of a friend of mine.......tomorrow morning..Rise and Shine..don't rise and whine.
In their memory..Join their ranks.

Some you just gotta read daily...check for updates twice or mebbe even five times daily?
Some you just can't seem to get through no matter how hard ya try..
Some are too intellectual,
not intellectual enough...
too serious,
too mundane,
too distracting, too many ads, dizzying,
not enough stimulation...

But,no matter what 'style' you prefer ..the essence is written communication isn't it?

Hmmm..so...What does it take to communicate well?

-For starters I say: Critical Thinking..perhaps even a degree of problem solving.
-This seems to involve a bit of information gathering as well as organizing,comparing and evaluating ideas.
-There's always the added bonus of knowing how to adapt those ideas to a specific audience. (assuming you have one...grinz)
-Then there is the ability to inform or explain without puttin' the readers to sleep. the tricky part.. HeH.
-It seems important to me, as well as to those I read to somehow persuade and even influence the "captive audience" to a way of thinking or point of view.
-There is the gift of creativity and innovation, which perhaps explains how it is you can read a post about a certain theme by 11 different authors and thoroughly enjoy perhaps only one?...
-Add to that- Writing skills...and ultimately the talent or "gift" of self expression.

I find there is actually a relationship between the writer and his or her "audience". A writer who views his readership as nothing more than the passive receptacles of his insights will lose me and I daresay most of his readers.

If the writer doesn't seem to me to have a clear reason for writing,or if she seems particularly unenthusiastic I,for one am far less receptive.

But if the writer seeks to "engage" me..I can 'feel' it. (or at least I imagine I can..so don't burst me bubble eh?)
If the writer is able to "persuade" me.. or draw conclusions that resonate strongly with my understandings and sentiments... I "feel" the connection.
If the writer is able to to appeal to my passions, my convictions,to make me emote, make me think ...motivate me -
I see that as a brilliant testimony to his or her ability to communicate....
and Yes...I believe I actually "feel" a part of them...

What say you, dear readers...Still awake?..Heh.

Critics of the Panthers, on the other hand, wonder why anybody would want to honor the leader of a group that openly advocated taking up arms against the cops. When the Panthers weren't serving milk to children, they were calling for blood -- "Pick up your guns and fight the pigs."

"A mere three weeks before the cops shot Hampton dead in his bed, two Panthers killed Rappaport and another police officer, John Gilhooly. The two Panthers gunned down the officers in a gangway. The Panther who shot Rappaport -- Spurgeon Winters -- then was killed in the shoot-out, too.

And then somebody got on the phone and woke up the chaplain."

To understand the dynamics of individuals who seek or are attracted to venerating murderers...Hmmmm...
The Black Panthers would willingly inflict harm on others, kill others,- providing it furthered their "cause".
Even if we put this in its historic and global context, with racism being the underlying angst and police brutality against Blacks a harsh reality- we are still confronted with The barbarity of murder.

"Off the pigs" is a mantra of someone deserving the honor of a street sign?
Have WE all gone mad?

A Black male advocates murder of police officers and he will now manage to be immortalized in death as he could not be in life?..Is that it?

Sorry, but this is just the bizarre product of a sick mind. It's all about the "racism" the Liberals say.....o yea...Honor the ones who condone murder..

Abolish The EOIR!

There is a dangerous misconception lurking in America’s growing public consciousness about immigration law enforcement. From the man on the street to the halls of Congress, the fatal error persists in the belief that if only current immigration laws were just enforced, the illegal alien invasion of these United States would be over for good.
All would be well if we put the legal mechanisms in place into effect . . . right?
Wrong.
Few Americans even recognize that there’s any problem at all with HOW the federal government goes about deporting illegal aliens and criminal alien residents. Securing the Arizona desert was a piece of cake in comparison—remember that the volunteer Minuteman Project showed the world that they could do it in a month!
So what’s the problem?
It’s too many lawyers, too much litigation and a four-letter word called EOIR.
The problem that hides in plain sight in the current immigration “catch and release” controversy is the litigation bureaucracy of the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR).
The EOIR is a little-known federal agency within the U.S. Department of Justice. It comprises the nationwide U.S. Immigration Court system and its appellate body, the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) in Falls Church, Virginia. The EOIR is the centerpiece of a largely unknown de facto stealth permanent amnesty and non-deportation program for illegal aliens and criminal alien residents.
• The hidden truth about the EOIR is that America’s deportation process for illegal aliens and criminal alien residents is designed for failure. What starts out as deportation becomes perpetual litigation - and relatively few deportable aliens ever leave.
• Other than the few summary removal provisions implemented at ports of entry, the deportation of foreign nationals in the United States is largely voluntary.
• With the complicity of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the EOIR litigation bureaucracy forms the concealed piece in the puzzle of institutionalized mass immigration sponsorship by the federal government.
• The lengthy EOIR system of hearings and appeals enables illegal aliens and criminal alien residents to remain in the United States both legally and illegally for years, often in perpetuity.
• The EOIR and the DHS bureaucracy enable thousands of detained aliens facing deportation to be released back to the streets on an immigration bond or paroled out of federal custody during the EOIR hearing process - giving them the option of disappearing back into the United States regardless of the outcome of their Immigration Court hearings.
• The lack of physical security on the land border exposes the EOIR process for the charade that it is. Deported aliens just walk back in.
• The EOIR literally makes a federal case out of every illegal alien and criminal alien resident in deportation proceedings by offering a litigation gateway to the federal circuit courts of appeal, and, sometimes, even to the U.S. Supreme Court.
• With endless available options for filing appeals and motions available to a competent immigration lawyer, EOIR hearings and appeals are never really over until the alien wins.
• Considering the never-ending nature of federal litigation, as well as the laundry list of relief from deportation available in Immigration Court, EOIR “removal” proceedings are really “get to stay” proceedings.

Although alleged to be a system for determining whether particular illegal aliens and criminal alien residents are deportable under the law, in reality the EOIR hearing system is designed to give aliens a mechanism to apply for relief from removal and remain in the United States. The EOIR’s immigration judges routinely award “green cards” (lawful permanent resident status) to illegal aliens through adjustment of status, and also allow convicted criminal aliens to remain in the United States.
While virtually unknown in the major media, the EOIR is the four-letter word of federal immigration policy.
EOIR litigation represents the livelihood of thousands of immigration lawyers, whose interests are represented by their nationwide lobbying group, the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). The country’s over 200 EOIR immigration judges earn from $109,587 to $142,500 per year, plus generous federal benefits.
The bottom line for America’s taxpayers is that the EOIR is just one more monumental waste of government resources. The EOIR unnecessarily formalizes simple review processes that already are entrusted to specially-trained (and most likely lesser-paid) federal employees including consular officers, district adjudications officers, immigration inspectors, special agents, immigration agents, deportation officers and asylum officers all over the country and the world.
A system dedicated to giving formal hearings and appeals for even previously-deported illegal aliens and criminal aliens is a system begging to be abolished - if only immigration reformers in Congress knew it existed.
So after twenty years of fostering federal litigation instead of deportation, it is high time that the EOIR’s specific functions be parceled out to federal law enforcement personnel already in the Department of Homeland Security who can do the job of deporting illegal aliens and criminal alien residents.
In reality, the EOIR litigation bureaucracy is the antithesis of real homeland security. As a deportation system, the EOIR is designed to fail, and it does. But as a machine for facilitating mass immigration, the EOIR is a raging success.
WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE?
Peter Brimelow, editor of VDARE.com, identified the solution in so many words in his 1995 book, Alien Nation—Common sense about America’s Immigration Disaster (page 260). According to Brimelow:
“Deportation procedures, for both legal and illegal aliens, should be streamlined, and criminal aliens automatically deported. . . .
U.S. immigration law has already been significantly weakened by activist judges. But there is nothing sacred about a wrongheaded ruling. The answer is to pass another law. When Americans do seize control of their immigration policy again, it will inevitably take the form of an epic clash between legislative and judicial branches.”
So how does Congress go about creating a process to actually deport aliens?
Here are the nuts-and-bolts details:
• Take away the EOIR’s jurisdiction piece-by-piece in a move towards abolishing the EOIR’s nationwide U.S. Immigration Court system and Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA).
• Institute summary removal of all illegal aliens and pre-determined classes of criminal alien residents by federal immigration officers without judicial review.
• Abolish all stealth amnesty adjustment of status provisions that reward law-breaking (as well as all discretionary “second chances” for criminal aliens) in the Immigration and Nationality Act that are currently administered by the EOIR.
• Eliminate the immigration benefit fraud magnet of U.S.-based asylum processing at DHS asylum offices run by its Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) division. Create a system where all asylum processing is done exclusively at U.S. Consulates abroad, or by the U.S. State Department for those countries where the U.S. does not have a consular presence.
• Eliminate non-immigrant visa-jumping from one category to another, as well as adjustments from non-immigrant to lawful permanent resident status for aliens already in the United States. All aliens wishing an adjustment of status or change of status should be required to exit the United States and receive a valid visa at a U.S. Consulate abroad, in order to make another lawful entry into the United States. Upon reentry, all applicants must then be able to satisfy the requirements for admissibility to the United States once again, including the unlawful presence grounds of Immigration Act Section 212(a)(9).
The most expedient strategy for handling the EOIR litigation bureaucracy and the candy store of immigration benefits it administers (such as asylum and adjustments of status) comes from the playbook of General Colin Powell. It’s the same plan he used for the Iraqi army in 1991—“first we’re going to cut it off, and then we’re going to kill it.”
The EOIR is already marooned.
It is an orphaned agency. Ensconced in Falls Church, Virginia, the EOIR oversees a nationwide Immigration Court system and a Byzantine appellate body, the Board of Immigration Appeals. With the INS abolished and cast out of the Department of Justice, the EOIR now represents a complete mismatch among remaining DOJ agencies, including the FBI, DEA, U.S. Marshals Service and the United States Attorneys.
In the deportation abyss of EOIR litigation, attorneys haggle over “orders of deportation,” while over 300,000 fugitives from those orders and as many as 20 million illegal aliens [as estimated by Bear Stearns—PDF] remain loose on the streets.
In short, the EOIR process is the major reason that the federal government remains paralyzed in confronting the millions of illegal aliens and criminal alien residents running free in the United States, despite the supposed intent of policy, and the existence of at least somewhat appropriate laws.
Congress can threaten to “close the border” all it wants, but as long as the EOIR remains in place, all is well for open borders. The system will remain sabotaged behind the scenes.
If the borders are hemorrhaging illegal aliens every day, and there is no reasonably efficient process in place to detain and summarily deport foreign nationals who do not belong on our shores, no one is going to be leaving anytime soon . . . and more aliens will keep coming.
The damage created by the EOIR on federal immigration policy is a scandal of monumental proportions. But so far, the first journalist to call for the EOIR to be abolished was Michelle Malkin. She wrote as much in her book, Invasion (pages 232-33):
“End deportation delays: Abolish the EOIR and BIA—The most under-recognized obstacle to deporting illegal aliens is the shadowy immigration court system and it unaccountable appellate body, which routinely puts aliens’ rights over citizens’ safety. Attorney General John Ashcroft should abolish the Executive Office for Immigration Review and the Board of Immigration Appeals and transfer their functions to existing law enforcement officers within the immigration bureaucracy.”
The EOIR is just another example of criminals’ “rights” being expanded and glorified to overwhelm an entire law enforcement process. Under current federal law, all illegal aliens and criminal alien residents have the “right” to a hearing before an EOIR immigration judge, as well as the “right” to appeal their case to the BIA—and then on to the federal courts . . . and back-and-forth almost indefinitely. That’s the problem with expecting to expel illegal aliens and convicted foreign criminals from our country through litigation. It just doesn’t work.
But even though the mainstream media has maintained strict radio silence about the EOIR, the truth about the EOIR bureaucracy manages to leak out one illegal alien at a time.
As aliens benefiting from the EOIR’s “catch and release” process continue to wreak havoc on America, slowly but surely the picture comes into focus . . . that the EOIR bureaucracy is a detriment to the “homeland security” mission of immigration law enforcement.

Just as building a physical barrier is absolutely necessary to stop illegal immigration across the southern border, summary removal of illegal aliens and criminal alien residents is the silver bullet for real immigration reform.
Legislation expanding summary removal and taking jurisdiction away from the EOIR would be a laser-guided missile down the main air conditioning vent of America’s entrenched non-deportation system. Abolishing the EOIR through summary removal would be the vampire-repelling garlic to ward off the legions of AILA lawyers making a living from federal immigration litigation.
Summary removal of illegal aliens by federal officers, with the cooperation of state and local law enforcement, would upset the existing rigged immigration litigation apple cart by simply kicking illegal aliens and convicted criminal alien residents out of the country.

It’s not the sexiest of topics, but it’s important to know that we can’t just talk about “enforcing our current immigration laws” without fully realizing that there is a revolving back door that completely undermines our laws. The Department of Justice’s EOIR is the power behind the scenes in immigration law enforcement and the greatest obstacle to real immigration reform in the federal government. The EOIR is the legal bureaucracy that regulates, and in effect cripples, the deportation of illegal aliens and criminal alien residents in the United States.
Summary removal, not EOIR litigation, should be the future of immigration law enforcement.

In analyzing the entire jurisdiction of the EOIR piece by piece—reviewing all types of relief from removal—every single component is already accomplished by other federal government divisions. And if not already covered, the particular form of relief could be easily moved out of the country for overseas adjudication, or abolished outright as being an ill-conceived reward for criminal behavior in the first place.
Summary removal in effect represents the other side of the coin from the “summary visas for all” impulse of the Bush Administration, exemplified by its ongoing drive for a non-deportation amnesty for existing illegal aliens under the guise of a “guest worker” or “temporary worker” program. By seeking to implement open-ended immigration status hand-out, the Bush Administration apparently sees nothing wrong with making a policy decision about which illegal aliens to let in the country, and then summarily carrying it out on a massive scale.
So why not do the same for summary removal?
We as a nation, through Congress as our policy-makers, should make a decision once and for all on which foreign nationals are going to be let into the country, who remains here, and who is going to be kicked out. Congress should overhaul the Immigration and Nationality Act and decide once and for all which clearly-defined classes of aliens to summarily prevent from entering the United States, as well as which clearly-defined classes of aliens to summarily deport from the United States.
Congress should make its decision, implement a summary process, and stick to it. No questions asked. No EOIR Immigration Court hearings. No redundant BIA review. No federal litigation.
Under the current state of affairs, the EOIR’s decides its own case-by-case personal “amnesties” being decided behind closed doors every day. Congress has abdicated its responsibility by leaving immigration policy to the whim of executive agency bureaucrats and power-hungry federal appellate courts to grant relief one case at a time to illegal aliens and criminal alien residents.
So rather than posturing about “closing the border,” Congress should strike a blow for real immigration reform by abolishing the EOIR litigation bureaucracy once and for all.

Things are going from bad to worse Police Gear Up For Expected Protest At Soldier's Funeral

"KOKOMO, Ind. -- Police will have a new legal weapon as they prepare for the Monday funeral of a Kokomo soldier killed in Iraq.

State lawmakers on Thursday enacted a law curtailing protests at funerals ahead of an expected protest at the funeral of Army Sgt. Rickey Jones, 21. Jones died in a roadside bomb attack last week in Iraq.

Gov. Mitch Daniels signed the legislation late Thursday and it went into effect immediately. Disorderly conduct within 500 feet of a funeral, burial, funeral procession or viewing is now a felony offense."

"The protesters, from Westboro Baptist Church, claim soldiers are dying in Iraq because the United States supports homosexuals. The group plans to protest at Jones' funeral.

Vandals have targeted Jones' family's home and his family has been barraged with hateful phone messages within the past week.

Much as it is absolutely inconceivable to most of us to even imagine someone tormenting parents who have just lost their child..we must embrace the fact that dignity, maturity and discipline are not assets all humans possess.

While we can get hateful toward the haters, may I suggest we put our efforts toward easing the suffering of the family instead.

Visitation for Jones is Sunday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Shirley and Stout Funeral Home. The funeral is Monday at 10 a.m. at Crossroads Community Church at U.S. 31 and State Road 26.

Letters of support and love would always be welcome.

This is in reference to a bill put forth by New York State Senator David Paterson that would have restricted — to an absurd degree — the use of deadly force by police officers.
"Paterson's bill, which he proposed following the February 2000 acquittal of four New York Police Department officers in the mistaken shooting of Amadou Diallo, would require police officers to use as little force as necessary to stop a suspect's hostile actions or prevent him from escaping.

"...if the bill were enacted, "police officers would be permitted to use the minimal amount of force to [sic] 'needed to stop' a suspect. For instance, according to the bill memo, an officer who is under attack would be required to shoot a suspect in the leg or arm if such actions would stop the suspect from harming the officer or escaping."

"the number of times an officer shoots a person should not exceed the minimal number necessary to stop the person. If one shot accomplishes the purpose, it is neither necessary or appropriate for an officer to empty his barrel."

"...the technical defects of the bill are the least of its problems. Most objectionable is the threat it poses to police officers who would be forced to make the split-second choice between protecting themselves from a violent attack and protecting themselves from a turn in the defendant's chair at a criminal trial. For under Paterson's bill, if an officer were to kill a suspect by shooting him more times than, say, some politically motivated district attorney deemed necessary, the officer could face a second-degree manslaughter charge and a potential 15-year sentence."

"Though Paterson's bill is now history, the mindset that engendered it lives on. He drafted the bill because he was angered by the jury's verdict in the Diallo case and sought a legislative remedy. "I think most people felt the police officers [in the Diallo case] had acted inappropriately," he said Tuesday, "and I wanted try to ensure that such a tragedy would never happen again. While that is still my goal, I realize on reflection that this bill was not the best way to pursue it."

Thus is revealed the politician's impulse — usually the Democratic politician's impulse — to try to avert any type of tragedy or misfortune with a simple stroke of the legislative pen."

While no one sane is condoning reckless and indiscriminate gunplay by officers, many shootings by police officers are acts of courage and even heroism.
Perhaps recruits need to be trained better, particularly when using the Glock semiautomatic handgun, a weapon that requires a high degree of training and skill.

The Glock handgun was meant to serve as an equalizer for police confronting crack cocaine gangs armed with machine guns. The Austrian-made Glock 17 is known for its lack of an external manual safety, which ultimately does make it easier to fire quickly. The pistol carries 17 bullets in its magazine and one in the chamber, tripling the firepower of an ordinary police revolver. And the trigger is much easier to squeeze.
Such a lethal gun demands extensive training which should be enforced religiously by the Department.

Given human fallibility- We all know there will be the unavoidable, unintentional discharges, officers shooting themselves or even other officers accidentally. Police shootings are emotionally charged events, fraught with split-second decision making not to mention- legal difficulties.

Surely that is no reason to tie the Police Departments hands behind their backs.

If the department regulations require firearms training every six months, enforce it. If an officer gets "gun-happy":investigate, and hold this officer accountable.

But by all means don't ask officers to display restraint and discipline in dangerous incidents where drawing their weapons most often means one thing - Survival.

Whether secular humanists admit it or not their foundation for whatever "ethics of the day" they preach are based in Religion. Religious ethics are the moral principles which have historically set the standard for what is and isn't acceptable behavior.

There are fundamental principles which flow from certain core beliefs and ancient wisdom which is shared by most religions.

Virtues are standards for ethical, moral conduct — Bascially this is what allows us to look at ourselves in the mirror every morning without cringing.

Secular humanists tout "The Golden Rule" as their ahem...Bible.
Do unto others as you would have them do to you.
Get beyond your own selfishness and self-absorbed isolation eh?.. The golden rule serves as a reminder that what hurts us hurts others, and yet where do they suppose this RULE came from?
Their own convoluted, ever-changing value system?

Here's a teensy hint:..Psssssssst..it's called The Old Testament.
"Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself" (Leviticus 19:18).

With respect to their assertions and mocking the descent into amorality and the social jungle religionists predicted.......
All I can say to them is:
Take off your denial-colored glasses and LOOK around you.

Morality?..that's laughable.
The generation is lost. The crassest elements of sexual deviancy flood the airwaves, marketplace and malls.
Pornography has been legitimized by revisionist historians who would have you think our very Founding Fathers gave them this 'right'.
Women have been conditioned to present themselves as 'sex objects' and to believe this is actually ..ahem.."empowering".
Sacred ideals of purity, virginity and matrimony are ridiculed incessantly, not to mention being 'redefined' to include 2 men, 2 women, and eventually the house pet no doubt.

Crime:..Hmmm..Let us see what Social Liberals and Humanists have wrought:
There are more than 2 million people in prisons across the country.
The recidivism rate is 70%!..and due to liberal thinking,tough sentences and mandatory jail time have become nearly extinct.
Blame "poverty", but whatever you do, don't blame the "perpetrator' eh?

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, however.
Religious hopefulness, you see is not quite the same thing as false optimism. Religious hopefulness is actually built upon the idea that things, as they are- are not great, but that we, as humble human beings,- don't see the whole picture. Only God does. The incompleteness of human knowledge, however, is met by the hope that the world holds more promise than we can actually see from our limited perspective.

The secular humanist, who won't humble himself is sadly becoming a caricature of himself.

AURORA - A 16-year-old boy at Overland High School doesn't want to hear what he calls his teacher's left-wing political rants.

"Sean Allen frequently recorded his teachers to back up his notes. Allen recorded Jay Bennish, his 10th grade World Geography teacher, making comments about President Bush's State of the Union Address.

Allen's father claims the comments made in the recording are biased and inappropriate for a geography class.

"I'm not saying Bush and Hitler are exactly the same, obviously they're not. OK? But there are some eerie similarities to the tones that they use," says Bennish in his critique of U.S. economic and foreign policy."

"The Cherry Creek School District is conducting a thorough investigation of the complaint from the Overland High School parent and student concerning comments.

The school district says at first glance it does appear the teacher acted inappropriately at the very least."

Pro-military mom silenced by mainstream media

"A grieving mother of a soldier killed in Iraq wants to voice her opinion. She has a message about the war in Iraq and feels the American people need to hear what she has to say.

Her name is Merrilee Carlson and her story is compelling and newsworthy. Unlike another mother of a fallen soldier, Carlson is not a household name. Her message is exactly opposite of the over-exposed message of the well-known protesting mom.

Regarding the war in Iraq, Carlson says, "We have to take a step back and look at what we have asked our military to do. We have asked them to do a job. It doesn’t matter how we got there. The fact is we are there and we have a job to finish."

Yet another person and viewpoint the mainstream media seem determined to look away from. They would much sooner highlight the rantings of a different "grieving mother" who
loves convincing herself and others that the "enemy" are merely lonely and desperate dissidents fighting for truth and freedom against the dark night of American Imperialism into which our government has thrown the country.

“Pledge Allegiance” to Students’ First Amendment Rights

"In response to a disturbing trend in public schools across Maryland of students being harassed for declining to participate in the Pledge of Allegiance, the American Civil Liberties Union of Maryland is calling on school officials to take action to ensure teachers and administrators understand the First Amendment rights of students."

Parents from Frederick County, Carroll County, Baltimore County, Prince George’s County, and St. Mary’s County have asked for the ACLU’s help in the past few months, after their children have been physically forced to salute the U.S. Flag, harassed for declining to say the Pledge of Allegiance, or denied the right to wear T-shirts critical of the Bush Administration. The ACLU of Maryland believes these troubling incidents need to be addressed on both county and state levels to ensure that teachers and students understand that the recitation of the Pledge is not mandatory.

Blah blah blah...Reality Check: We ALL know that at the moment that speech (pro-life, pro-war, pro-death penalty) comes into conflict with the ACLU's holier than thou missions, they are in line to quell those words, and most certainly not in line to protect that speech.

Sure, students want to wear anti-Bush t-shirts..How bout anti-Muzlim t-shirts?..Does that pass the smell test?..Nah..I didn't think so. We musn't offend terrorists only the President of our Republic in their myopic view.

So let them rant on and keep on hatin',-taking every oppurtunity to highlight their convoluted political analysis. The more you pay attention the more you observe their forums becoming nothing more than an unchanging monologue.
But guess what?
Some of us have stopped listening a longggggggggg time ago.

No Israeli Athletes Allowed in Dubai

As for...tennis, the U.A.E. does not exactly have a sterling record on women's rights. Further, like other Arab nations, the U.A.E. doesn't have diplomatic relations with Israel.

"If I'm, say, Shahar Peer, the top-40 Israeli player, I'm sure not happy that my tour is sanctioning events in countries in which I am not welcome. It's not a perfect analogy but we'll make this one anyway: Would the WTA or ATP ever even think about sanctioning an event in a country or club that excluded African-Americans?"

"We asked the ATP and WTA about this issue and both tours reported that before giving their sanction, they had assurances that no player would be denied entry into the Dubai event."

Dubai ports firm enforces Israel boycott

The parent company of a Dubai-based firm at the center of a political storm in the US over the purchase of American ports participates in the Arab boycott against Israel, The Jerusalem Post has learned.

The firm, Dubai Ports World, is seeking control over six major US ports, including those in New York, Miami, Philadelphia and Baltimore. It is entirely owned by the Government of Dubai via a holding company called the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation (PCZC), which consists of the Dubai Port Authority, the Dubai Customs Department and the Jebel Ali Free Zone Area.

"Yes, of course the boycott is still in place and is still enforced," Muhammad Rashid a-Din, a staff member of the Dubai Customs Department's Office for the Boycott of Israel, told the Post in a telephone interview.

"If a product contained even some components that were made in Israel, and you wanted to import it to Dubai, it would be a problem," he said.
A-Din noted that while the head office for the anti-Israel boycott sits in Damascus, he and his fellow staff members are paid employees of the Dubai Customs Department, which is a division of the PCZC, the same Dubai government-owned entity that runs Dubai Ports World.

Moreover, the Post found that the website for Dubai's Jebel Ali Free Zone Area, which is also part of the PCZC, advises importers that they will need to comply with the terms of the boycott.

US law bars firms from complying with such requests or cooperating with attempts by Arab governments to boycott Israel.

In one instance, according to a Commerce Department press release, a New York-based exporter agreed to pay a fine for having "failed to report in a timely manner its receipts of requests from Dubai" to provide certification that its products had not been made in Israel.

It was to erase this stain that U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan proposed last March a new Human Rights Council, which would be properly selective in choosing members, would stay in session longer, and would have a mandate truly to protect victims of human rights abuse.

Those circus sideshows..oh by the way,have they included Israel on their map yet?

In Humorous 'ban' makes serious point...

The old saying "You can catch more flies with honey than with vinegar" got a new twist last week from Ohio state Sen. Bob Hagan. The Youngstown Democrat, who's been known to pull a prank or two, spoofed his colleagues by issuing a "request for co-sponsors" for a fictional piece of legislation:

The Republican Adoption Ban of 2006.

That's right. Hagan proposed a state law to forbid registered Republicans from adopting children or being foster parents.

The bogus "ban," of course, was meant as a pointed response to House Bill 515, sponsored by Rep. Ron Hood, R-Ashville - and co-sponsored by Cincinnati-area Reps. Tom Brinkman and Danny Bubp - which would prohibit adoptive or foster children from being placed "in the private residence of a homosexual, bisexual, or transgender person."

Hagan cited what he called "credible research" that children in GOP households are "more at risk for developing emotional problems, social stigmas, inflated egos, an alarming lack of tolerance for others they deem different than themselves and an air of overconfidence to mask their insecurities."

...perhaps Hagan's modest proposal gave some folks a taste, however fleeting, of what it would be like to be labeled as a class somehow incapable, unworthy or unacceptable.

So um...yet another politician fancying himself as a latter-day shaman or oracle trying to make Republicans, homosexuals, and transgendered folk morally and psychologically equivalent?

Oh yes, now that I've pondered it,I've found that I have warmed to the idea that "WE are all the same."..NOT.
Hagan can keep his "more-secular-than-thou image" and continue to attempt to purge us all of moral and (religious)..yes, I said "religious"..gasp! elements.

Truly, if society ever indulged his warp fantasy...the laugh would be on him.
Come to think of it..it would sound more like a "cry."

Local imam to join talks at Vatican

With Islam at the center of several explosive situations around the world, one of Michigan's most prominent Muzlim leaders, Imam Hassan Qazwini, headed to Rome on Monday night for five days of Catholic-Muzlim talks focused on interfaith strategies for making peace.

"It's a very promising sign that the Vatican is promoting this dialogue," Qazwini said as he prepared to fly off to meet Wednesday at the Vatican with Pope Benedict XVI. That meeting is to be followed by four days of talks between Catholic leaders and Muzlim clerics from around the world.

Forgive my lack of humility here but it seems that this sort of invitation amounts to nothing more than sanctioning and acceptance.

May I remind us all of this fairly recent episode involving our very own President?
In Who's Protecting the President? you may recall the following from May 6, 2003.....

Oliver Wendell Holmes Sr. wrote that "The sound of a kiss is not so loud as that of cannon, but its echo lasts a great deal longer." If this is true, then there should be some serious political reverberations as a result of President Bush's decision to kiss Imam Hassan Qazwini after speaking to an Arab-American community in Dearborn, Michigan on Monday.

This continues a well-noted trend of placing the President in the company of purported leaders of the Muzlim community who do not share the President's moral clarity on terror.

This supposedly "moderate" Imam from the Detroit, Michigan-based Islamic Center of America (ICA) has some disturbing connections to radical Islamists that cannot be overlooked by a conservative President who has been entrusted by the American people to fight a war on global terrorism.

For starters, Imam Qazwini's Islamic Center once invited Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan to be the keynote speaker at a memorial for its deceased founder Imam Mohamad Jawad Chirri. At the time, Arab American News described his address as "dynamic" and "always controversial," and reported that he urged the Muzlim community "to become politically active...[and] as powerful as the Zionists."

Translated as : Fear not. We still hate Jews.

For those who do not recall, Louis Farrakhan is the man who once called Judaism a "gutter religion" and who has been banned - for security reasons -- from entering the United Kingdom since 1986. London's left wing journal The Observer has a profile of Louis Farrakhan that points out his "reliance on anti-semitic imagery." A few examples: "Jews are 'bloodsuckers'"; "Hitler 'was a great man.'" It also notes that "he talks of 'settling the score' with white people" and boasts proudly "that black street gangs are 'born warriors of true liberation.'"

Translated as : Fear not. We still hate Jews and White People.

Furthermore, in the lead up to the war that eventually liberated the people of Iraq, the Associated Press reported in October 2002 that Farrakhan believed Saddam Hussein was "making peace with his neighbors" and that the "[Bush] Administration is the greatest threat to world peace." He added, "Only Israel, the United States and Tony Blair...are willing to go along with an attack on Iraq."

Would Imam Qazwini consider these anti-war, anti-Bush viewpoints to be "similarities" or "differences" of opinion?

Imam Qazwini has other troublesome connections to radicals in the United States. He is a board member of the American Muzlim Council and shares this position with some notable terror apologists.

Translated as : Fear not. We still hate Americans too.

And yet our President kissed this man and the Pope now wishes an audience with him.
Does anyone not see that there is a principle at stake here.
Do not deceive yourselves...The terrorists are gauging our response to their venemous words and barbaric tactics.

And for this we reward them with validation and affection?

According to Education is solution to creating patriotism ...

Some claim that Patriotism is a value that cannot be forced or required through law.

"Putting American flags in every classroom, as a bill in the Arizona House of Representatives proposes, will do little to increase patriotism in young students. A better solution is to properly fund education so that students can learn about our nation's history, institutions and civic participation.

Then, when students see a flag, they will see something more than a piece of fabric with stars and stripes on it."

Hmmmmmmm..if you ask me........I'm liking that bill.

The mere presence of our flag gives voice to our ideology and unique American sentiments.
Our students are presently so awash in PCism, and multi-culturalism, it would serve them well to to whip up a fervent love and pride of this great, noble country.

The word patriotism actually comes from a Greek word meaning "fatherland." The love of fatherland or homeland was an attachment to the physical features of the land.
Much the same way one may place a picture of his own father on his mantle, and in so doing, is reminded of his or her love for the very person to whom she owns her very life.

I say...Hoist up those beautiful American flags in our classrooms and let the children's hearts be tugged with pride and love of country. We desperately need to be reminded just what ideals the red,white and blue truly stand for.

Oh and by the way Fallaci is being sued in Italy for insulting religion because of her latest book.

Who is this self-righteous Muzlim A-del S-mith you may ask.. On June 14, 2005 Smith himself was sentenced by an Italian court in Padua to six months in prison (commuted to a fine of € 6.000), for the crime of defaming religion. On January 4, 2003, during a live broadcast on Italian TV, Smith had characterized Christianity as a "criminal association" and described Pope John Paul II as "a foreigner who leads the church ... a con man". On 13 January 2006 Smith was sentenced again to 8 months in prison for the crime of defaming religion. On 15 December 2003 he threw out of the window a crucifix in the hospital room where his mother and two other women were ailing, he describes the crucifix as "the small corpse that scares children".

Hollywood Sells Out to Radical Islamic Interests

Another film, "Paradise Now," which is also up for an Academy Award, glorifies would-be suicide bombers.

"But Hollywood and our major media have been under radical Arab influence for quite some time... "The Sum of All Fears," which was the movie version of the Tom Clancy book, replaced the Arab terrorist villains with neo-Nazis so as not to offend the Council on American Islamic Relations. The Fox network responded to complaints about its popular series "24" depicting Muzlims in America secretly plotting terrorism by running public service announcements portraying American Muzlims as moderate and peaceful.

Because for once, they depicted Muzlims plotting terrorism , they have to make disclaimers?!

Hollywood is nothing but a propaganda machine churning out battle cries daily that do not match reality. They merely reinforce and impose their biases - masquerading as entertainment.

Time to set the record straight. Save your money. Don't bother buying that movie ticket..unless your brain needs a good washing.

In light of this bit of logic, why is the United States, or any other free nation for that matter, still mulling the possibility of funding a Hamas-led Palestinian government?"

"Recently, the US State Department, in response to declarations by senior Hamas leaders refusing to acknowledge the right of Israel to exist, and the refusal of those now elected to power by the Palestinian people to renounce violence and terrorism, asked – asked – the Palestinian Authority to return $50 million US dollars so taxpayers were not funding a Hamas lead Palestinian government."

"There is an important point that needs to be highlighted. “Aid” that is issued in the name of the US government to any country or organization for any reason is literally derived of taxpayer dollars. Whether it is $350 million for tsunami relief, an initial $50 million for Pakistani earthquake aid or $87 billion for the liberation, stabilization and reconstruction of Iraq, it is all derived from taxpayer dollars."

So, when the US government sends $50 million to coax Hamas terrorists into not murdering their Israeli neighbors; to reward them for restraining from strapping on suicide vests made of nails and C4 in a quest to acquaint themselves with those 72 virgins, the bribe is bankrolled by American taxpayer dollars.

The government however will“continue to work to meet the humanitarian needs of ordinary Palestinians using non-governmental entities.”..in other words, they are still supporting with American taxpayer dollars, mind you- the very " people who are directly responsible for voting a terrorist organization into power, and are knowingly complicit with the actions of a terrorist organization."

Are we not aware that The US State Department officially recognizes Hamas as a terrorist organization.!

It is high time the U.S. stops apologizing for what is perceived by the self-haters as "isolationism"...
It is high time the U.S. stops giving in to irrational hysteria rather than relying on informed reason.

Actor Tries to Trademark "N" Word

"The actor Damon Wayans has been engaged in a 14-month fight to trademark the term "Nigga" for a clothing line and retail store..
But, so far, his applications have been unsuccessful. Trademark examiner Kelly Boulton rejected the registration dated Dec. 22, citing a law that prohibits marks that are "immoral or scandalous."

"While debate exists about in-group uses of the term, 'nigga' is almost universally understood to be derogatory," Boulton wrote to Wayans' attorney, William H. Cox, according to the application.

"IN group"?..Let me understand this.....The attorneys are so inundated with political correctness that they won't countenance any suggestion that um...the "out group"..(oh that would be "white folk" now wouldn't it)...use that word in any shape or form whatsoever..but for black people it is alright to be unencumbered by the niceties of interpersonal relationships and respectful speech?

"Lynda Zadra-Symes, a trademark lawyer in California, said Wayans may be successful. She compared "Nigga" to the successful registration of Dykes on Bikes. The San Francisco Women's Motorcycle Contingent fought the Trademark Office for three years to overturn an initial rejection of a Dykes on Bikes trademark. The mark was published Jan. 24.

"Because the application was by a group of lesbians it was eventually allowed to publish," Zadra-Symes said.

"This is a great victory," the group proclaimed on its website. "It affirms our right to determine who we are and how we present ourselves to the world."

Alritey then...who they are?..and how they present themselves to the world is -Dykes on Bikes?-
If that is who they are........they had better
desperately attempt to hold onto the tenuous reins of any respect and dignity they could ever hope to get.

In January, an episode of the late-night Cartoon Network series Boondocks was criticized for putting the word in the mouth of a fictionalized Martin Luther King Jr.

The effort to commercialize "nigga" drew a sharp response from a black school official who participated in a forum about the word earlier this month at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro.

"I don't care for it in any form," said Dr. Lonnie Williams, associate vice chancellor for student affairs. "Either way you pronounce it, spell it, anything associated with it -- I find it offensive."

Rhodan believes that affectionate use of the term within the black community should make it an acceptable mark, but the Trademark Office has thus far has not been persuaded by that argument.

Since when can a term be used innocuously by an in-group member, while an out-group member would lose his job for the same utterance!

The term "nigg-er" was used violently to reinforce the subservient position blacks had occupied. It was used in conjuction with hate crimes and horrific offenses visited upon them.

It will never be a compliment, any more than "bitch" or "ho" or any of the other words the hip-hop community has taken the liberty to try to mainstream.

Yahoo News When Freedom's Just Another Weapon raises several issues.

"In the war on terror, as during the cold war, the ultimate weapon has been freedom: free elections, free speech, free trade, for instance. But Hamas's win in the Palestinian vote, protests over the Muhammad cartoons, and a US debate over an Arab firm managing six American ports have raised doubts about freedom's worth."

In all three cases, the values of democracy, equality, and openness appear to some people as working against the cause of defeating Islamic terrorists by promoting freedom. Enemies are seen as using the "weapons" meant to defeat them, somewhat like Lenin's warning that capitalists will sell someone the rope with which they themselves could be hung.

As a result of this perception of liberty being turned against liberty, some in the West are tempted to retreat from these principles, which are the legacy of the Enlightenment and the bedrock of civilization and progress.

Hmmm..let us examine this shall we.
The first claim is that in the aftermath of the Danish cartoons, no Western government has stood tall in defending the liberty of free speech. The fear of retribution from militant Muslims has cowed some voices that normally cherish this right.

I concede this is valid and quite alarming actually.

The second claim is that free trade, too, has taken a knock with the reaction in the US over news of a company from the United Arab Emirates that's taken over operations of ports in Miami, New York, Philadelphia, New Orleans, Baltimore, and New Jersey. Stereotyping has kicked in, and this one involves racism against any Arab entity owning a vital piece of the US economy, especially one that could be an entry point for terrorist weapons.

Stereotyping???
Our Muzlim ahem...associate's record is replete with examples of violence and bloodletting,..um...The World Trade Center ring any bells perhaps?
They have exhibited extreme and passionate contempt for both Israel and the "West".
And they reassure us that the company "has been well screened by the federal government?" If that wasn't so frightening it may actually be comical.

The third claim lies in the Hamas election victory. Both the US and Israel have turned their backs on this result of ahem...cough cough..this "democracy" because of Hamas's past support for attacks on Israeli civilians and its denial of Israel's right to exist.

Clearly liberal thinkers have lost their intellectual sheen. In the name of the Universal value of Freedom - Israel and the U.S. should overlook past behaviors of attack dogs who systematically supported suicide/homicide bombs on civilians throughout the Land...
People who glorify violent resolutions to problems.......
and the mere, trivial fact that they did not and STILL do not recognize Israel's right to exist...shouldn't be met with relentless, feverish scrutiny..but should just be um...overlooked eh?

I know one thing.If you wish to launch an attempt to negatively brand the West and Israel....disengaging from your intellectual roots..is certainly not the way to go.

Protect our Ports.
Protect Israel.
Amen.
oh..and ..by all means publish whatever cartoons you see fit.

Do you bless everything that comes your way, trusting that its meaning will become clear,even if you can't possibly see how in the present?

I have so much in life to be thankful for.
I can be awestruck by the beauty of a mountain view or a sunset over the ocean.
I am grateful for being alive.

ALBANY, Ga. (AP) - "It's every chocolate lover's wish that their favorite indulgence could somehow be healthy for them. Now, chocolate makers claim they have granted that wish.

Mars Inc., maker of Milky Way, Snickers and M&M's candies, next month plans to launch nationwide a new line of products made with a dark chocolate the company claims has health benefits.

Called CocoaVia, the products are made with a kind of dark chocolate high in flavanols, an antioxidant found in cocoa beans that is thought to have a blood-thinning effect similar to aspirin and may even lower blood pressure. The snacks also are enriched with vitamins and injected with cholesterol-lowering plant sterols from soy."

Healthy chocolate..go figure.

Denmark condemns Israeli raid on Syria as unacceptable

Some more enlightening history many may not know about:

COPENHAGEN, Israel's weekend raid on what it said was a Palestinian training camp in Syria was an "unacceptable violation" of Syrian territory, Danish Foreign Minister Per Stig Moeller said Monday.

"It is just as well that the UN Security Council is still considering this affair, because it is very serious when one country starts to fly over the territory of other countries," Moeller said, the Ritzau news agency reported.

Israel launched an air attack early Sunday on what it said was a Palestinian militant training base northwest of Damascus used by the Islamic Jihad and Hamas groups.

"What it said was..?" Either it was a militant training base or it wasn't. Easily verifiable now isn't it.

"The raid was in response to a suicide bombing claimed by Islamic Jihad that killed 19 people, plus the bomber, and wounded at least 50 others in the northern Israeli city of Haifa late Saturday."

And of course this is considered irrelevant somehow?

"Denmark can accept neither the terror nor the escalation... because this never leads to peace, but quite the contrary," Moeller said. "Peace can only be reached around the negotiating table."

What table was Denmark referring to exactly? Dining with Muzlims who's bread and butter consists of convoluted arguments against Westerners and Jews, and who seem to have adopted an unchanging monologue?... Not to mention their fundamental lack of humanity and incessant insistance upon violence.

Denmark not always a Friend of Israel

Based on this article May 2002:
"In March before the Danish Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen's visit to the White House on March the 20th, Denmark had come under increasing attack by the Spanish EU president for not speaking out against Israeli aggression in the Palestinian controlled areas".

ahem..Israeli aggression?..Well, that language certainly speaks to the lies and deceptions they have bought into. How unoriginal.

"This has changed, and Denmark now follows the majority of the other EU countries ..in demanding an immediate withdrawal from the Palestinian territories recently reoccupied by Israel."
Re-Occupied?...hmmm...as in land they won during a war that was waged against them?!

"While the governing parties (the liberal and the conservatives) agree that Denmark should support a peaceful, non-restrictive solution to the Israel-Palestine problem, not everybody in Danish politics shares that view. Both Mogens Lykketoft and Niels Helveg Petersen say that they will be willing to "discuss" economic sanctions against Israel..."

"The left wing in Danish politics is traditionally pro-Palestinian and, in the current situation, wants to see much harsher measures taken against Israel.."

What is it with "left wingers" anyway?..Is it a directional issue? Right-Left, Good-Evil, Right-Wrong... Do they need a moral compass perhaps? Or do they simply suffer from naive ideas of their own grandeur?

On the other hand, there is the RIGHT wing:

"On the right wing, however, Dansk Folkeparti takes a pro-Israeli stance. For example, Søren Espersen suggests to Nordjyske Stiftstidende that the Israelis have no choice and that, if they withdraw from the territories occupied in 1967 (as Un resolutions demand), then that would mean the end of Israel. Søren Espersen thinks that the Arab world still seeks to destroy Israel and that the Saudi peace proposal is empty rhetoric. As long as we do not understand this fundamental drive in the Arab world (the wish to destroy Israel), says Espersen, then we "have not understood the way in which the Arab mind works." The way the Arab mind works..let us just ponder that for a moment shall we?

He said that he was happy to present the Israeli "case" in public because he felt that the Western media only reported from the Palestinian point of view. Then, he proceeded to repeat the same statements that you can hear on BBC and CNN: Israel wants peace, they already offered the Palestinians an independent state, and Israel is, now, simply trying to protect itself against "terrorism"."

Denmark may Cancel Soccer Match

"Denmark may cancel a soccer match against Israel because of fear of Muzlim reprisals, according to Israel Army Radio.

The report came Tuesday amid ongoing Muzlim protests following the printing of an editorial cartoon by a Danish newspaper that many Muzlims find offensive. A final decision on the game is expected at the end of February."

Well isn't that special?
So the Muzlim killers are still managing to ahem... score points by inducing more FEAR.

U.S. Marines Devastated after Crash

JACKSONVILLE, N.C. - Ten U.S. service members died when a pair of Marine Corps helicopters from a unit based in North Carolina crashed off the coast of Africa, U.S. military officials confirmed Sunday.

The two CH-53E choppers, carrying a dozen crew and troops from a U.S. counterterrorism force, went down during a training flight.

The Pentagon said the Marines killed in the crash were:

• 1st Lt. Brandon R. Dronet, 33, of Erath, La.
• Sgt. James F. Fordyce, 22, of Newtown Square, Pa.
• Lance Cpl. Samuel W. Large, Jr., 21, of Villa Rica, Ga.
• Sgt. Donnie Leo F. Levens, 25, of Long Beach, Miss.
• Cpl. Matthieu Marcellus, 31, of Gainesville, Fla.
• Sgt. Jonathan E. McColley, 23, of Gettysburg, Pa.
• Lance Cpl. Nicholas J. Sovie, 20, of Ogdensburg, N.Y.
• Capt. Bryan D. Willard, 33, of Hummelstown, Pa.

Also killed in the crash were Senior Airman Alecia S. Good, 23, of Broadview Heights, Ohio, of the 92nd Communications Squadron at Fairchild Air Force Base, Wash.; and Staff Sgt. Luis M. Melendez Sanchez, 33, of Bayamon, Puerto Rico, of the 1st Communications Squadron, Langley Air Force Base, Va.

Margaret Levens, of Long Beach, Miss., said she was proud that her son, Donnie Levens, had a chance to do what he loved.

"He was there to serve his country and to keep his family and country safe," Margaret Levens said. "It was what he wanted to do. He was there for us ... in fact he had reenlisted for four (more) years."

We have all spoken of the merciless carnage and the fury that the winds of terrorism have blown.
Wev'e gaped at photographs, especially as of late,of mountains of rubble that used to be embassies and homes.
And now a father, mother, sister or brother, returns home no more.

But when faith is firm, and conscience clear, a mother can hear the sounds of sorrow ,yet still hold her son in her loving memory..knowing "He was there to serve his country and to keep his family and country safe,"

And that he did.
